While we were in Brookings yesterday I ordered the Vachos and the veggie wrap to take home for dinner! my goodness the best food I have had in a long time! The lady that helped me was super kind and helpful! She shared my enthusiasm with that vegan cheese! The rest of the day I annoyed my husband with how much I love that food! Excellent customer service skills, always on top of everything including drink refills, and was so personable. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, very rich and has a great made from scratch taste ! I really enjoyed the dish and the restaurant in general ! Everything was so good, that we forgot to take pictures of our meal for the review! “We are on a last minute road trip to enjoy this weather and we chose this place to accommodate my kid and I was expecting to pay like 50$ and our total came out to 32$. We asked if it was a mistake and he said no. Definitely a great deal for this fed 6 hungry souls and gave a us a great variety and the food is quite good. The pepperoni has a touch of spice which is enjoyable. The jojos and chicken with the BBQ sauce is bomb... Thank you for a great meal as we are on our journeys to the redwoods!“

“From the moment you walk in you feel a warm, inviting welcome atmosphere with hosts that genuinely appreciate your patronage. So many places could learn from their simple, down home sincerity in a world where people robotically utter trite pat phrases they don’t even mean like, “I appreciate you” and later repeat them not remembering that they had just said it, this is a nice change and a sweet throwback to a time when the people who ran restaurants were genuinely glad to see you. For me, that’s such a big part of eating out and the people who run Rancho Viejo show it without even trying. Bravo for them! Five stars for being a place you’ll want to go back to.“

“Can we all say Steamer clams. YUM!! It's by far the best I have had in a 400 miles radius. I have had them at many places and none compare to the Catalyst. The flavor is on point, that sausage really tops it off. I will always get the steamers. Also the Coastal Lemonade drink is awesome 👌. Their fresh oysters are great too when served on the half shell, not a fan of the ones served in a plastic cup. Just doesnt feel right. Happy to see they are serving their drinks in glasses now, not plastic cups. I highly suggest checking this spot out. They offer out door seating which is great on a sunny day. 🌞 customer service has always been good.“
