The best Reuben you can get. Love their burritos and literally everything they have is absolutely delicious. Do wish they still had their potato salad still cause like everything else... it's the best.
I had my elk processed here in nov. 2024
Elk Jerky came out way very unsatisfactory.
Tasted like fake smoke and sugar. There jerky process left the meet extremely tough and hard to eat. If you process beer stick to pepperoni for snacks. I only got 10 pounds so not a terrible waste. You have been warned.
the dog food and other dog products were surprisingly affordable
Great place for fresh locally grown beef and pork.
Leaving a review because I was disappointed in the checkout line management during Thanksgiving week. While waiting in line to checkout the owner/cashier kept letting people cut in from the side. It’s like hello, I’m standing in this line waiting to pay for my turkey and other people just walk up and get to cut ahead of everyone else patiently waiting. Not cool lady.
I do not think the quality is equal to the exorbitant prices. $9/lb for boneless chicken breasts? $28/lb for ribeye steaks? I get that it's all locally sourced. I've had enough of the meat to know it's not really all that special. Is it good? Yes. Is it worth that kind of money? Not in my opinion. The best thing I've had was the Wagyu New York steaks. I bought some 3 years ago for $39/lb. after I sold a bike.
They have little satchels of kosher salt that's produced in Netarts at the cashier counter for $10/bag. REALLY? There's probably less than 4 oz of salt in them. They charge double what a bag of BBQ pellets cost elsewhere for the exact same brand and size.
I doubt I'll go back.
Really lovely butcher shop with a lot of specialty cuts and meats you don't see in a grocery store. Very helpful, friendly staff, higher prriced than the average Safeway or Winco but the quality justifies it.
Try to go during the week--the lines on a Saturday afternoon are insane (but move fairly quickly).
Wonderful selection at good prices. Friendly staff willing to go beyond.
This place.. never ever have I had a bad experience here. The staff are always amazing. And right now in the holiday season..they got more hustle than a cat being chased by a dog. Always friendly, always attentive, and more than just doing their jobs.
The selection of smoked meats and fresh butchered game is second to none in the greater Portland area. They do special orders and requests. Offer a wide range of selections.. and hands down have my patronage. I love it here. Always wind up buying more than I need..but never feel like I am spending to much for what I get. Quality! No two ways about it. They are quality. I have sampled the Café a few times..and wish I was closer to it for lunch as they are amazing! The sandwiches are above and beyond expectations. My only concern for them..is how busy they are..lol. which in and of itself is a testimony to their business. Keep up the good work Meating place, and I'll see you next time.

Once again they made my day! Was able to get the most delicious ham hocks, a whole chicken that just looks so much better than a regular grocery store bird. And a handful of the trail mix packs (pieces and ends of cheese, pepperoni varieties, jerky, and salami) . Perfect for throwing in a lunch, or for a day at the lake. I always wind up leaving with more than I went in for, but somehow have to refrain from leaving with more than I am. Such an amazing butcher shop!.

The size and quality of the seasonal ham shank...unbelievable! Jerky prices have gone up a bit since last time I was here...but still tastes delicious!
Paul and Heath went out of their way to help my brother and I when we drove up from Salem. They were extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. It was our first time dropping game off there and they made it a great experience can’t wait to come back for the pick up. Thanks guys!

I’ve been here handful of times, the quality of meat is good, although price is above average but so is the taste.
Only thing that’s a downside is the customer service and the wait time. Perhaps the cashier’s are just as irritate as the customers, the tone is abrupt and cold, and feels very rushed. It’s the old lady with gray hair every time, the young ones are energetic and friendly.
It really dampens the experience despite the quality of the goods sold. Don’t forget customers come back for service too.
Great selection, always quality and fresh.
Best butcher in PDX period.
They make a bunch of great sausages and have raw dog food my dog loves.
What can you say, a carnivore's dream.
Special occasion today so bought 2 A3 straps and will cook on Traeger tonight.
Excellent quality. Their enchiladas are amazing surprisingly enough, and jerky and bacon.
Oh Pork chops.
Ok, you get the point...
