The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, as could be seen by the tattooed guy bugging his fellow co-workers i.e. young females while a select few were moving purposely about. Our waitress though made the whole experience, a true professional, her name is Faten and if by chance you get her for a waitress you will understand.

Alicia is the best Server we’ve had here. Hands down will come back just for her.

Good food, little loud atmosphere (to be expected though) and GREAT service.

We love going to Thirsty Lion at streets of tanisbourne. All the staff is super good, friendly and will remember us from previous visits. Special shout out to Shawn (our amazing server), and for Kirsten, she is so inspiring. They will always make us feel special and valued. They will both always greet us no matter which table we sit at. Thank you!

I actually debated leaving this review because this restaurant has been one of my favorites for years. Every year from March 5th through the 17th, I look forward to their St. Patrick’s Day special menu—specifically the beer-braised corned beef and cabbage with white cheddar potatoes. It’s something I genuinely wait for all year.
Unfortunately, this year’s experience was very different.
We had a reservation at 12:15 on Sunday and arrived about 15 minutes early.
When we walked in, there were very clear advertisements for the St. Patrick’s Day menu everywhere—on the doors and windows. Since that menu is the whole reason we come every year, I asked the hostess if it had been popular and if it was available. She told me she wasn’t sure and that I would need to ask our server.
When our server came to take our order, I asked about the corned beef and cabbage dish. She told me they didn’t have it. I asked if perhaps it was only available for dinner, and she said no—it had actually been discontinued a year or two ago. That surprised me because the restaurant was currently advertising it everywhere, including on the website, which I even pulled up on my phone to show her. She mentioned that it was strange and that the location no longer carried it.
At that point, we decided it would be better to go somewhere else for lunch and politely left. As we were walking out, we again passed the large advertisements for the St. Patrick’s Day menu running from March 5th through the 17th.
Later, I called another location and was told the menu was available and that I could order it right away. I then called the same location we had just visited and was first told the menu was available after 3:00 p.m., and after being placed on hold, was told it was actually available after 1:30. Not wanting to drive the extra miles, we ended up ordering two of the corned beef dishes to go. I live out of town and wanted to have one the next day since it’s only available once a year.
The dish itself has always been delicious, and the portions are generous—they give you several large pieces of corned beef. My daughter asked for some while I was eating mine on the drive home. She and I were the only ones who ate the dish.
Around midnight that night, my daughter became very ill. At first, I didn’t think much of it since kids occasionally get sick from something not agreeing with them. The next day around 11 a.m., I started eating the second dish for lunch. After just a few bites, my chest and stomach felt like they were on fire and I became extremely sick shortly after.
My husband and our other two children did not eat there and did not get sick. Only my daughter and I had the corned beef dish.
I truly hate writing this because I’ve loved this restaurant and have looked forward to this annual menu for years. But between the confusion around the advertised menu in their own restaurant and the experience afterward, it unfortunately wasn’t the same this year. We won't be returning.
If this was difficult to read, that’s about how difficult the experience was to go through.

Great service and food.

Would like to see some of the St Patricks day special menu items offered year round. Such as appetizer Bacon Cheddar Potato cakes. From entrees the shepards pie and beef stew. Would be nice to offer these year round.

It was a group of 9. We waited 30 to 45 minutes just to get drinks or food ordered. Watched people come in after us and get more attention than we did. Other than the customer service the food was great, the atmosphere was great.

Alicia is epic and the food is wonderful! it is very clear that the management of this location is top notch by the way this place is every time I go in it.

Our waitress was great. The food not so much. I ordered chicken strips. They were flavorless and rather small. My husband had a Mediterranean salad. He said it was ok. I was very disappointed that their food is usually better than this.
