Thanks for the reply on my experience at Bodas. I deleted my original comment a day or so after posting it because I felt bad and don’t want to feel weird. But after your reply, I feel listened to, and I appreciate your response.

We ordered a hot panini sandwich and two sides to share. Everything was absolutely excellent. We'll be back on the way home to pick up some soup to go!

Boda's Kitchen is a must visit spot in Hood River! The food is outstanding and the people who prepare it are even better. Boda's offers an excellent selection of fresh, local food made in house daily. In addition to the daily soups, sandwiches, salads, wraps, rotisserie chicken and desserts they also offer a great selection of frozen items for those days when you just don't feel like cooking or you're hosting dinner guests. Did I mention the cheese and wine?! So many lovely options to choose from! Boda herself curates the wine and cheese selections in the shop. Have a special event? Boda's also caters! I cannot recommend this place enough. It's SO GOOD!

There are some restaurants in Hood River that owe their success to the fact that they are the only place that offers a certain cuisine. This is not one of them, this place would be considered objectively great food anywhere. I had a curried carrot soup that was both mild but still flavorful - not overpowering, simply delicious. The hot Italian panini was a perfect blend of cheese, pickled peppers, and salami. And I actually came back to buy the rainbow cake (almond cake, apricot, chocolate ganache) because it called to me when I was ordering my food but I was a fool and ignored it. No regrets!

Generally a nice place. Do NOT get the chicken salad wrap. There is max a tablespoon of chicken salad in it - the rest is lettuce. It has happened to me twice a year apart - I forgot and got it again with the same result. & for a half or 13 for a whole is way too much for a wrap and lettuce.

Hot Italian was not overpowering nor was it a ton of food which is what I needed. Awesome!

Owner is extremely rude and likes to instigate with random people instead of using her words and asking nicely like a a regular person. Don’t come here unless you want to be judged by some 400lb karen who has nothing better to do than scream at people who have done nothing to her.

Always predictably delicious, this deli focuses on yumny, clean, fresh, home cooking. They carry fancy treats and beverages, too. Amazing sweets baked like your grandma made them?Absolutely. Visit this lovely little gem in the heart of beautiful Hood River, Oregon and prepare to feast!

Excellent meal. The chicken was moist/flavorful and the sides were super tasty. Potato salad, mashed potatoes, quinoa salad and beet salad were easily 5 stars. Friendly staff, great experience!

We love this place! Super friendly & helpful staff serving delicious home-style cooked items. We love the salads and sandwiches but the roasted chicken is divine.

Sweet people, the massive charcuteries we ordered for a wedding party was divine! They provided the boards and beautiful serving bowls . Just a “get it back to us in am, dirty dishes are fine..”. We returned them Spock and span…. Thx for the food Boda’s!

Perhaps my favorite place downtown. I ate lunch here three times. All three times, the food was good and seemingly healthy. Staff was quite nice, and the chefs in the back had definite talent. As Cherry Wonderdog proudly displays his master of soup cooking credentials on his resume, Boda’s Kitchen’s offerings were highly scrutinized. And they passed with flying colors. We ate Hungarian mushroom soup, then Vegetable Lentil, then Tom Kha Kai on three successive midday trips. On two of the three days, the weather was sufficiently warm and sunny to eat outside on one of the two tables in front of the shop. All in all, what a quaint, laid-back, reasonably-priced café for a great lunch. Cherry Wonderdog highly recommends.
