Absolutely stunning view of MT Hood!! I had the white flight and wanted to buy a bottle of each but settled for just three to take home. All around must visit!
Lindsey served our rambunctious post-wedding party during her third day on the job and was an absolute gem. She was kind, patient, and attentive to our group. She went above and beyond to cater to us (especially 1 hour prior to closing). She did not make us feel rushed or burdensome, despite our sporadic entrance with a large group. She deserves an abundance of praise from ALL of us (I let the crew know I would write a review). Thank you, Lindsey!
Lindsay was wonderful! We had an amazing post wedding visit at Stave and Stone and the wine was amazing! Highly recommend!
Beautiful Location, Disappointing Experience
The property is absolutely stunning, but unfortunately, the way we were treated left a bad impression . As a professional photographer, I understand the importance of creating a welcoming environment—especially in places like wineries, where the ambiance is part of the experience.
This morning at 11 a.m., I brought a client to the lavender fields nearby (a two-hour drive for us) for a photo session. Since the fields weren’t in bloom, we noticed the winery’s scenic backdrop and decided to take a few quick portraits in front of the property. The building was locked, and there were no guests around, so we made sure not to disturb anything since it was a shared lot with the fields.
As we moved to the back to finish our final shot, a blonde woman came out and abruptly said, “We’re closed right now, you can go wait in the lavender fields.” I politely tried to explain that we were just wrapping up and meant no harm, but she cut me off mid-sentence and dismissed us without a second thought.
This was especially disappointing as it was my client’s 21st birthday—I had planned to buy her a glass of wine to celebrate, but we didn’t even get the chance. We left and instead went to the Columbia Gorge Hotel, where we were warmly welcomed even in preparation with a wedding going on as long as we left quietly when everyone started to arrive.
I hope the staff here can reflect on the value of kindness and hospitality—especially in such a beautiful space that could offer so much more if matched with a better attitude.
Didn’t get to try the food since we came close to closing time but the people were sweet, and I loved the atmosphere. The two of us each got a glass of wine and really enjoyed them.
Very nice venue. Great views and nice people working there.
Wow, just wow. Beautiful view, wine and food. I would highly recommend.
Beautiful place. The wine is great. Awesome views.
My mom takes me here almost every time I visit, and for good reason! The flights I’ve tasted have been tasty every time, and their charcuterie boards are huge. You just can’t beat good food, good wine, and the stunning views that they offer here.
Great place to stop on the Fruit Loop for a wine tasting and good views of the valley! Loved the wide selection of reds and whites, and they had a really great food menu so may be the place to stop for lunch! (Artichoke dip was out of this world). Not very impressed by the staff, didn’t seem approachable and felt like they blew us off when trying to ask questions.

Great stop for wine tasting. Lovely year round outdoor seating with great views. Great atmosphere and was able to stop by on a Saturday afternoon with no reservation. Will be back for the views and Pinot Noir
Drove from Portland and was turned away because we had an infant... Strict “21 and over” for wine tasting outside? Extremely rude and unapologetic. Happy to go to literally any other winery that was glad to have us.
Beautiful view. The food was 10/10. They also keep a blankets outside if you get cold ?
A highlight of our visit to the Hood River Valley.
The views are so beautiful and the wine was tasty
