Stave and Stone was an enjoyable stop on our overall Hood River wine adventures. The wines were extremely clean and well executed for each varietal. The outdoor seating is absolutely gorgeous, with a beautiful view of the mountain in the distance, and our server was professional and friendly. The only negative is that this place was by far the busiest one we visited, so definitely make reservations. I didn't like that the servers were running around so much to keep up with the crowd, because I couldn't ask any questions about the wine. It felt impersonal and very corporate. I was unable to find out anything about the wines aside from the quick blurb on the menus. Overall it wasn't a big enough detractor to pull my rating down though.
I think it was a pretty good stop, and I really liked the lavendar hut that was next door. I definitely don't regret stopping by!
We had a wonderful experience at Stave & Stone. We were traveling around the Hood River area and decided to stop by. They worked us in for a tasting experience without a reservation on a busy day and were so kind and welcoming. I would recommend a reservation, however, as we would have really enjoyed staying a little longer. We enjoyed an Estate Flight and the Artisan Cheese Board and ended up purchasing a couple bottles of wine. The view was extraordinary and the person helping us was so warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back very soon!
Very beautiful! We had an amazing time doing a tasting. Highly recommend the Pinot Gris and the Syrah.
Great view, friendly staff and good wine. The baked brie was the winner though. We had a great time.
The atmosphere is not quaint but very corporate. The staff appeared to be following a script from a corporate handbook. Not that the staff was inattentive, rather very insistent on seating us vs allowing us to check out the vibe and determine what speaks to us as the CUSTOMER. This was not the chill relaxing vibe we seek in a vineyard.
The flights were preset vs customer selection. When we inquired on tasting the Petit Verdot and Syrah to determine if we should purchase a bottle it seemed like we inconveniencing them.
Other wineries to try vs return.
The Lavender store on the other hand was very quaint and accommodating and personal.
Great service, awesome view, wonderful place:-)
Great wine and a beautiful view.
Beautiful view, great service, great food and great wine! π·
Wine was great, the view even better, and the wine flight paired with little bites was a nice touch! Thereβs a lavender farm right next door and while it was closed when we visited, the winery had a stand inside so you could purchase lavender lotion and candles! Really nice spot!
Staff is friendly, the fall views in any weather are amazing and the wine is delicious. My favorite is the Legacy Flight is my favorite

Came for a first time birthday visit with my Bestie. We were greeted immediately, handed a menu and offered a tasting, a glass or a bottle. We received a red tasting, and a white tasting, and, each wine was presented with great detail! Since my friend is a member, we also received a delightful charcuterie board. We ordered the truly INCREDIBLE artichoke dip off the menu... a must have! The wines were delicious, service fantastic, and the view and fall colors were stunning. In addition, we got to meet their precious baby doodle, Gracie... and, as if all that wasn't enough, we were given complimentary truffles for our birthdays!! Needless to say, I, too, am now a member. Love that they make recommendations for the Club selections, but will switch out if you're partial to something else.... no more wines left untouched in our cellar because they weren't my choice! Can't wait to share these delicious wines with family and friends over the Holidays!!! Thank you Carrie (sp?) and Stave and Stone Estates for a great day!
My wife is a wine club member here and we went there last April to pick up her wine and I have to tell you, this place and the people are awesome. Not to mention the view.
Love the wines and the overall experience
The views are just spectacular, food and drinks are great ππ»π«ΆπΌ
We split 2 tastings among our group of 4 adults. We loved the outdoor seating and heater to see Mount Adams and enjoy the views and the wine. Our favorite was the Cabernet Sauvignon.
We sat by the fire to warm our bones after a wet and chilly hike at Mt Hood. The grounds are gorgeous and each of the wines was delicious. Would definitely recommend this spot as a destination, party venue, or brief stop on a vineyard tour. Just lovely!
