I wasn’t impressed by the wine. Quiet wine bar, nice ambiance.

We brought family in from Texas who were visiting for the first time in 10+ years. They remembered The Pines and old vine zin from a decade ago and wanted to make sure they returned. Geoffrey made it a great experience for them.. loved everything they tasted. Some old vine Zin will make its way on Alaska airlines back to Texas!!

Tasted several wines yesterday - ALL DELICIOUS - difficult to choose a favorite! Thank you, Jeffery and Lonnie ??

The service was above and beyond at my last visit. It was a weekday afternoon. The wine is fantastic. I have been on a weekend for the live music which is great but can get pretty busy. Definitely will go back.

Hands down, our favorite Pinot Noir, Oregon or otherwise. Phenomenal with salmon!

In my many years of wine tasting I’ve experienced the vast gamut of servers. You can hire any dullard to pour wine for the masses. Someone like LEIGHA is a true treasure. As I am considering purchasing a winery, I’ve taken very careful notes. This amazing woman should be treasured by the owner, her presentation of the wines is difficult to describe. Thank you Leigha, you made our visit very special, the wine isn’t bad either! ?

We had a lovely informative visit and tasted delicious wines and purchased some to take home. This is a delightful winery. Go for the history, stay for the wines.

I've led wine tours in Oregon for a decade. Of all the tasting rooms in the state, I consider The Pines 1852 the best! For so many reasons--location, price, servers, ambience, amenities, music, not to mention the wines made from historic vines! Hidden at 4th and Oak, The Pines is the perfect place to begin or end a stroll along Hood River's adorable shop-lined main street. Flights are just $10--ownership believes in affordability so everyone can enjoy. Outside food is allowed, and the service couldn't be more friendly--especially Leigha and Jeffrey. A wonderful cool dark bar, a cute shaded garden space, with regular local musical performances. I'll leave it up to you to describe the wines and find out why it's called "1852". Tell them Adam's review convinced you to go.

Great selection of red wines, especially the Big Red blend. Also enjoyed the Zins, even though I'm not usually a fan of that varietal. The atmosphere is like a cool saloon.
