The food was INCREDIBLE! The pork was SO juicy and tender! The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. Seriously the best BBQ I’ve had in Salem!

Meh, not great. I came in here, and saw for meats they had a choice of pulled pork, smoked sausage, pork belly, a 1/4 chicken, or pork ribs. I couldn't honestly decide, and I'd have been fine with any of those, so I told the cashier to just pick whatever her favorite was. I did ask for the mac and cheese and potato salad as my sides though. She ended up giving me the chicken. Ok, great, hopefully that's good. It was... not. I'd give the chicken a C+. Not great, not inedible, just... meh. The only thing that saved it was the bbq sauce, but if I have to slather chicken in sauce to make it taste good, the chicken is not good. The mac and cheese was kinda disappointing. Probably another C+. Just kinda runny and bland and flavorless, honestly. The potato salad was probably the best part of the meal. I'd give that a B. Maybe I should have tried the pulled pork, but I'm probably not going to be back here anyway, so whatever.

Been here a couple of times, and tried different items. Pulled pork sandwich was a little on the dry side. I'm going to try a few more times before, mostly due to it's proximity of my home and office, but so far I haven't been blown away.

After trying 3 other places to find food on a Sunday afternoon we stumbled upon Uncle Troy's. Boy are we so glad we did!! The staff is super nice and the food is super fresh. We tried the chiliquilles with pulled pork, which reminded me of what I used to get in CA. The bbq burger was nice and juicy and had great flavor. The bagel with lox was fresh and had a unique black salt that added a nice flavor plus texture to each bite. The corn cakes were a nice sweet addition to the savory foods we tried. While I am not from Salem I will come back again next time I am in town!

I really wanted to like this place. I had their Mac and cheese with some pulled pork on top. There simply wasn't much flavor to anything. The Mac itself was bland and cafeteria like. The pulled pork was ok but didn't have much of a smoky flavor. The servers were kind. Overall I would not eat here again. It was just ok.

Prefacing this review with: I very rarely eat meat - and when I do, I'm very picky about it. Fat and gristle gross me out. The first time I visited, I got the chilaquiles to avoid meat. They were okay - not great, not awful. The egg/cheese to chip ratio was a bit off - not enough toppings for the amount of chips. I'd order again if I didn't find any other good no-meat options, but wouldn't come back just for this meal. Hot damn the brunch quesadilla was amazing, though. The meat was great quality - no questionable bits - and the flavor palate was crave-worthy. I'll definitely be coming back for this dish and hopefully more delicious options in the future. My partner got the brunch burger and that was so good as well! It was gone too fast to stop for pictures.

Worth the wait! The food is the best bbq in Salem. I got ribs, corn bread, fried Brussels and Mac n cheese. So delicious! Excellent service as well. I will definitely be coming back.

The food is great when you can get it, not sure what kind of BBQ place this is yet. I guess you have to go at certain times to get the food you want. The last 2 times it was a wast of time, no ribs

Very overrated and definitely not the best BBQ out there. Also, extremely overpriced with small servings. If you want good BBQ go to Oregon Barbecue Company in Albany Or.

Have had Uncle Troy's a few times with the pulled pork and the ribs with both being fantastic. Almost couldn't stop myself when eating the ribs because they were so fall off the the bone tender and were legitimately the first ribs I have had that genuinely didn't need sauce because they were seasoned so well. Sides are always great, and service as always is amazing.
