Stopped in to meet my friend who is localish (lives in Elgin), said it's the places she always go if they are to eat out. Prices were reasonable, my dad and I got the Thursday special, which was a Rib basket OR top sirloin. We both got the sirloin. It came with choice of baked potatoes, mashed potatoes or fries. My father got a loaded baked potato, I got mashed. I should've asked for gravy. It was potato skin mashed potatoes. My dad enjoyed his potato. Our steaks we requested medium to medium rare and I think they did well meeting that. It was a liiiittle over peppered for my liking and my dad found his a bit tough. Mine was fine other than the pepper.

As for my friend, she got the spilt pea soup and a side of sweet potato fries. They looked good and I think if the regular fries are cut that way then I would've thoroughly enjoyed them! I wish I got the fries! Oh well! OH, and I think my friends baby can 100% suggest eating the table for brunch 😆

Bartenders are absolutely awesome. The karaoke DJ Scott (I think was his name) sucks! He ruins the vibe in every single way. Plays favorites to country music. Would be 5* if not for him. Bud Jackson's you need to ditch this clown ASAP

So we’re in town to get together to visit family, I will say. This place was pretty cool. I won’t even lie, the bartenders were awesome and the bar goers were also super cool. My brother did a song, than myself and another brother did a different song (karaoke) me and my oldest brother had one song left. We go up to get the mics and start singing the whole crowd was super into it. Not doing anything bizarre literally singing the lyrics (SCOTT) the dj literally shuts the music off and starts screaming at us to not scream in the mics. We were not. The whole bar starts booing him, so his I’m assuming 22 ish male order bride literally comes and snatches the mic from my brothers hands and tells us we were no longer aloud to use their mics. Total buzz kill. The whole bar was upset and it ruined a fun time. SCOTT and his 40 year younger girlfriend (maybe wife or something) ruined the night for us

Great place for a Great Burger! All the Staff were super friendly and the Burger was a 10 out 10 as well as the Tater tots. The establishment was very clean and the quality of the food was excellent. I will be back for sure 👍

Great menu options. My new favorite is the chicken Philly.....bring your appetite. Who knew a sandwich could be so addicting? I will be back to try it again.

Has a kid friendly area. Great burgers and sides!!! Well worth the $! Would DEFINITELY recommend stopping in for a bite.

I was an avid steak bite fan, but after tonight’s dinner, I won’t be back.
The steak bites have no flavor now, and the salad it came with suspiciously resembled pre-packaged store bought salads.
The fries that came with a burger my partner ordered were drowning in grease and were absolutely horrible. Their burger was “so so.”
These locals won’t be back. This place has gone downhill.
The waitress was sweet, though.

Their food is consistently good, so this is more of an ethical review than anything. Prior to this day, I had been going here for years. When I pick up takeout, I always tip 10%, which I feel is reasonable because I'm not dining in. I used to work in the restaurant world, and tips on takeout are never promised, and I always appreciated anything I got. I came into to grab my order and the staff member advised me not to add a tip because she'd already added a 20% tip on my bill! There was no mention of automatic tips on takeout and I wasn't asked. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I paid and left irritated. When I got home, I noticed my sides were missing, too. So I paid her nearly $20 in a tip, and she didn't even check my order. Needless to say, I've never gone back. Sorry, but the cooks do most of the work, especially on takeout. Nothing she did warrented that large of a tip. I found it entitled and dishonest on the employees' end. I don't know if that's a company policy or just 1 disgruntled employee but I belive its wrong to upcharge without disclosing it on the menu or at least telling me over the phone.

One of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Third pound patty with fresh accoutrements - dill pickle, tomato and lettuce. I had a Rocket Burger that was topped with pepper bacon and Swiss. Seasoning was absolutely amazing.

It’s a “family friendly” bar - safe to bring the kids. Clean men’s room. Nice polite staff.

Definitely a place to stop when on transit on I-84.
