“They do what they do really good. The chicken is good no matter the spice level and the sides, especially their sauce, adds a lot to the overall dish. The service is quick and the atmosphere is what you would expect of a semi-fast food restaurant.“

Also the service I noticed the service was very customer oriented very positive. I had a chance to find out who the manager was I think on shift and her name is sunshine. You can tell that the staff had been encouraged and trained and I would be happy to go back and eat at this restaurant I think frequently. I highly recommend this particular restaurant.“

“Hands down best shawarma wrap around. Guy and his son run the food cart and both are super nice and make the food good EVERY single time. I don’t go anywhere else at Cartside when I come to eat. Don’t get me wrong the other spots are good, but this spot is just top tier. Be sure to ask for the pomegranate molasses in your wrap, this is one of the few spots that has it and will add it for you. Always makes me smile when I get this food. A must try!“

“This is our second visit to one of these restaurants. We are out of town customers. Highly highly highly highly recommend. We got number four which was $10 for a chicken sandwich, fries and pickles. It's such a great deal, and the food is so good. They have hot chicken and chicken that is not spicy.“

“We were downtown for the Starlight Parade with the kids and just happened to stumble upon the Midtown Beer Garden — what a lucky find! Tucked into this awesome little food cart pod in the heart of the city was Small Pharaohs, and let me tell you — it completely blew us away.

From the moment we walked up, the team was warm, welcoming, and super friendly, especially with my kids (which as any parent knows, makes a huge difference). We ordered a mix of plates and wraps — the lamb over rice was packed with flavor, and the chicken shawarma was so juicy and tender my kids devoured it without a second thought. The garlic sauce? Next level.

The vibe at Midtown was fun and family-friendly, with great energy from the festival crowd, and Small Pharaohs stood out not just for the food, but the service. It felt like they genuinely cared that we had a great experience — and we really did.

This was one of those unexpected finds that turns into a new favorite. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in downtown Portland. Highly recommend!“

“So disappointed... That I didn't know about this place sooner!! Last night my husband told me he had NEVER eaten a gyro. I knew I had to correct this immediately. So, I started looking for gyros near me. Now, since he's never tried one, I didn't want him to have a bad first experience that would put him off of them forever since I enjoy them so much. I chose this establishment based on very high google reviews (5 stars) and because it's so close to where we live (5 mins). This place has gone beyond expectations! The food is amazing! Perfect blend of delicious spices and ingredients. HUGE amount of food. It was so delicious that I scarfed it down so fast I got sauce up my nose. I'm so happy that we found this little gem. “I went out at 2:20 in the morning to get something to eat. I did not expect to eat one of the best meals I’ve had in a while at that price range. The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. Overall a great place to eat, would recommend for a night munch.“

“I have been driving by this place nearly every day for quite awhile now but never stopped because I just wasn't sure. Today I got a flat and was next door at Les Schwab when I decided it was time. I am so glad I did! Goodness! This chicken is so good! Flakes and tasty. They have several degrees of flavor for any pallet. I had 2 sliders, which are only slightly smaller than a full size burger, one mild and one medium with Mac n cheese. So delicious! I will definitely be back!“

“The highest quality restaurant available at the Washington Square Mall food court. They have a pretty extensive menu of different Indian foods, including a lot of options available to eat right after purchase as well as items that they make fresh after you order. They offer different types of meats and sauces, and all that I've tried so far have great flavor. Their butter chicken is definitely a favorite from a lot of people who order. It is a pricier option than other restaurants around it, but not by much, and well worth it. Service is really nice and the employees take the time to remember you if you're a repeat customer. Whether you're a first time customer or you've been there before, you can easily tell that they love the food they make for you. Definitely recommended.“
