5 STARs hands down the best Mediterranean food in Portland
I've been eating at Bashas for the past 7 years. Always tasty, always fresh, and the service is always friendly. They could easily make a fortune just selling the coco sauce, but my favorite is having it with the lamb over rice. Friends tell me that the chicken coco is the real star. The mujadara and the falafel are great vegetarian options and the falafel is gluten free!! I highly recommend stopping by for lunch.
This place sparked a love for Mediterranean food while I was a student at PSU. I've tried many Mediterranean restaurants since and this is still my favorite. Not only is are their base dishes seasoned well, and with great ingredients (love the pickles!), they also have a nice spicy red sauce they put on their food that really makes it that much better.
