While vacationing in Lake Oswego last week, we came across Manoa Shave Ice in Lake Oswego. Greeted by smiles while we walked inside and said, "howzit", local Hawaiian slang for How's it, how's everything? Greeting promptly replied by Lesley and Keoki Landreth. We started talking story as is the custom in Honolulu, especially if you share a common bond. When: Sun July 31st, 3:30 pm For Hawaii Transplants living in the Willamette Valley and craving for those North Shore of Oahu Shave Ice shops, Manoa Shave Ice fits the bill... This was our first time here, at this Lake Oswego shop. To us, the menu here was very simplified and easy to order. This is a sweet shaved ice shop that's perfect for a treat pretty much anytime. They have a beautiful mural painted on their wall that's great for taking photos, the staff is always smiling and cheerful, and the flavor syrups they offer are super flavorful. When we've been there they seemed very conscious of covid protocols, staff were wearing masks and very hygienic. We don't live in the area but when we're in there we always stop by.
