Sadly Mcmenamins is not what it used to be. Service is really lacking and their food costs are high!! The only positive is we were there on a Tuesday between 2 and 5, so we did their happy hour. Gone are the days of their 3 to 6 happy hour every night. Sorry Mcmenamins ? You used to be my number one suggestion to anyone looking for good food and beer, but not any more.

This is a good spot for a bite to eat and a fine selection of tasty drinks from the bar.

Fish and chips were a huge disappointment.smallest portions I've ever had for that dollar point.I can get a better fish and chips for 15 dollars at the coast.I noticed someone else made the same complaint wish i would have seen it before I ordered.

It's a typical McMenamins pub. Fun little rooftop bar and mostly all the same things you get at every McMenamins, but nothing to complain about other than it was a little bit old and stinky. I definitely recommend taking the over 90 stairs to the rooftop bar as that will help you work off your delicious truffle as always with McMenamins. The service is good and quirky.

Went in for dinner on Sat night.Ordered the fish and chips. 2 small portions, greasy from oil that wasn't the proper temperature, fries and tartar were excellent. Pricey for the portion size, served in a basket.

You will notice well founded complaints here about the service in this business. I have to concur: two of the several restaurant staff members have been so consistently (to me and others) violently (slamming glasses, attacking polite utterances with interruptions, barking "I'm BUSY" in response to customers simply waiting in polite and patient silence, violent, unprovoked scowls, etc) and selectively (they behave decently to select customers) RUDE that I and many others who have been nothing but patient and polite with these two have decided to post our experiences here, and not come back. Again, we have all suffered this behavior without having been anything but calm, patient and polite with these two. The experience for me has soured my taste for the entire business that I will no longer be staying in the hotel, as these two work in the building. Please post here if you, too suffer unprovoked rudeness from the two problematic restaurant/ bar servers here. I have heard four other customers turn and talk to me about this weird behavior to me on three occasions, and these customers all noted that the rudeness was selective, and it was severe enough for these people never to want to come back. The restaurant is connected to a very lovely hotel, so I first attempted to avoid the restaurant in the evening to avoid the behavior of the foul evening shift worker, only to come across an almost equally rude server on the day shift. Hiring help may be a challenge, but (luckily) I have found plenty of businesses in the area that do not employ people like these two. It's a shame as well because the rest of the staff (the majority) was congenial to extremely pleasant.

Love this place! Especially impressed with how McMenamins preserved the history of the building.

I am an avid Mcmenmins supporter. Growing up on the coast I went to their Lincoln City location multiple times a week. This location served the worst food I've ever eaten. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger, it was dry, no flavor, no cheese, i couldn't believe the lack of quality. The fires that come with it were so so salty, and when you're spending 20$ on JUST A BURGER! It was so horrible it pissed me off. My partner ordered their 30$ "steak" same thing, no flavor, it was the flatest "tbone" we've ever seen. They gave him a scoop of mashed potatoes and two broccoli heads.. I couldn't believe the lack of quality and portion sizes were that of Micheline restaurant, it was a joke. I love spending money and what not, but that was the biggest disappointment I've had all year. My bill was almost 100$ including tip and we left HUNGRY & honestly upset.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were there during the lunch menu hours on a weekday. Hard cider was a new experience. We liked the blackberry and the pomegranate flavors. The food was good, and plentiful. IF you have desert, we recommend the pecan cake with a rum and raisin sauce!
