If you are craving a sandwich, burger, or salad with a refreshing beverage, this is a place for you. We ordered the prime rib on a Saturday night. It was flavorful and moist. Our CC only critique is that we would have liked a little more variety on the menu. The service was excellent at the pub and cellar
Food was ok. Service was typical for McMenamins. Took a while for someone to seat us even though they weren't busy. The waitress was nice but the bar and kitchen were really slow. Seemed like the bartender would rather talk to his co-workers than actually work. Love the location and rooftop bar.
Not worth the wait or the price, This use to be our go to for happy hour. The service has gone downhill and isn't worth our time anymore.
We usually have good time here but we came here on Saturday and left dude to the waiter/bartender’s bad service :(

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were there during the lunch menu hours on a weekday. Hard cider was a new experience. We liked the blackberry and the pomegranate flavors. The food was good, and plentiful. IF you have desert, we recommend the pecan cake with a rum and raisin sauce!
Whether you're in the main pub downstairs, or the rooftop bar a few floors up, the menu is pretty much the same. You know what to expect from the McMenamins kitchen, although none of their signature pizzas are on offer here, it seems (no Hammerhead BBQ pizza for me, today!). Both the food and the service are solid: we enjoyed a surprisingly delicious Seven Castles Stockpot (a sausage, bacon and cabbage stew over sweet polenta) and a couple drinks, while moving between locations and collecting stamps for our passports. We were seated immediately in both locations, and other than our ground floor server being a little bit spacey (we had to flag her down to get our second cocktail from the bar), we enjoyed our time both above and below.

You need to ask yourself several questions before committing to this restaurant: are you hungry? Are you willing to wait over an hour for cold food? Is the view worth the mediocre meal you are about to have?I did not ask myself these questions and ended up waiting an hour and thirty minutes for cold food that was not worth the price. I will not make the same mistake again. The folks working the bar tried their hardest to get updates on my order, but were repeatedly hung up on by the kitchen. The worst part, believe it or not, was not the cold, mediocre, overpriced, unsalted food. It was the fact that after I shoved sustenance in my mouth as fast as I could so I could leave, I walked out through a completely empty restaurant. I expected to see cavorting crowds and lines around the block. Turns out, they are just really incompetent.TL;DR don't order more than a drink if you want to have a decent time.

It started bad and got worse. We had a reservation for 715 and were met with “you have to wait”. Never asked our name or what time for our reservation. Our server was apparently supposed to be off and was none too happy when they made her stay and serve our table. She was rude and very inattentive as drinks sat completely empty as she walked past the table multiple times. One person ordered a burger and she didn't even ask how they wanted it done. I would name her in this review but she never introduced herself. I ordered the “seasonal special” which was supposed to have kielbasa. I have no idea what the meat product actually was but it was god awful. We thought about asking for a manager but concluded that would not resolve anything. All this wonderful experience for over $120 for a party of 4. Worst dining experience in quite some time

Great restaurant and great atmosphere. While the energy in the location was moderate for a Friday evening, the overall experience is on par with all the McMenamins. We also stayed at the hotel which made our ability to roam around the hotel with some nice beverages that much more fun.
Waiting 2 hrs for appetizers and food service is ridiculous. This locations kitchen is the worst!Be prepared not to eat or get food at all from their kitchen. We were told after a 2 hr wait that they cannot complete our order or any of the 5 tables surrounding us who have also ordered food.

Love staying at this hotel-wonderful front desk staff. I'd say eat anywhere but the hotel. With a reservation we waited over 75 minutes after placing our order and when I inquired about it waited another 15 minutes. Why wait so long before asking? I couldn't get any staff to acknowledge the server who was taking ownership of our table. Was a real bummer since I love McMenamins and this was a special occasion. I'll come back to sleep and have drinks-but not a meal-ever.
Very nice dinner in McMinnville. Steaks were tasty and cooked to perfection. Sides were delicious and served piping hot the way I like it. Service was very nice and professional. Highly recommended.
Mediocre food, service was great! I'm not into just okay food, especially when it gets to the table and it's cold....even drivethru burger restaurants can get that right....we will not be going back there anymore. I assumed I could satisfy a craving for a good burger and was disappointed. One positive, the service was great!
