What a Gem of a Pub! They offer some of the best beer and vegan comfort food I have ever had. The atmosphere is very cozy and friendly and the service is great.
This place is now in my top favorites in Medford. The food was incredible, and the owners are so friendly. It’s so rare to find a full plant-based menu when eating out, especially one that offers delicious pub food like grilled cheese and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Make sure you order the peanut butter cup pie - it’s insanely good. Also loved that they had games to play at the table and a solid beer selection. Vegans don’t skip this place! I’ll definitely be back.

Very small place and the beer was just okay. Was super dead and the bartenders seemed invested in their phones. Didn’t try the food but the entire menu is vegan which is rare to see at a brewery so give it a go if that’s up your alley.

Outstanding! I can't wait to come back. We don't live in Medford, and had to make an unexpected stop here because of car troubles. Coming to Portal was our consolation prize, and I had no idea it would be so amazing! The spicy mushroom tacos were outstanding, and my husband devoured his chicken tacos. He had the breadsticks as an appetizer, and I had the pretzel- both were incredible. As for the beer, ohhh my! So hard to choose, and each one we tried was delicious. Went for a taste of flight because it too hard to decide on one. The server was super thoughtful. Portal is for sure going to be a fixture when we come through Oregon. I will go out of my way to come back here again and again!I actually remembered to take a photo before finishing my meal this time... 1 tacos was left for the photo opp!!Vegetarian options: All vegan
Julie and I enjoyed dinner Wednesday. Julie loved her couple of pints of Lambic with a Falafel Waffle salad (Julie has an open mind and I admit trying it I was surprised how good it is).I ordered delicious Spicy Mushroom Tacos with a half pint of cream ale and for dessert a half pint of the sour chocolate cherry. The brewer Mike, a retired steam fitter has been brewing since Jimmy Carter was President.Along the way Mike has learned how to sour beer uniquely…I have never tasted any soured beer done with such a clean flavor/taste?Respectful environment, uniquely micro. A treasure of downtown Medford.

I used to love this place but something has changed. The beers aren't nearly as interesting or good and the food is expensive, not vegan anymore and tastes not as good. I hope that whatever changes have been made are temporary. It feels like the place has been gutted of all charm and replaced with cold hard capitalism.

I can't believe I didn't know about this place. Absolutely amazing food! The falafel waffles, mushroom tacos, and the pretzel dish were all delicious. And they have the best cider I've had anywhere. I'm going to be finding excuses to go back. Yum!
This was a fantastic find in Medford. Fully plant based menu; all freshly made and incredibly delicious. We had the spicy mushroom tacos and Schwarma, along with a flight of really great beers, followed by equally wonderful desserts. The chocolate cheesecake and crème brûlée were very yummy. The service was friendly, and nice to have some outdoor seating as well. Coconut beer made into a Shandy was fantastic as well. Would highly recommend this place for both beer and a meal!

Portal is a wonderful, intimate spot to grab a beer. The people there are very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. The plant-based menu was wonderful and both our pretzel and Philly mushroom flatbread were great and flavorful. I tried the Dark Ghost and it was my first experience trying a CDA and I loved the flavor! I look forward to trying more of their beers as well as more of their menu.

My wife and I love this place. Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere, and the beer is fantastic. We are especially grateful for the plant based menu and extensive gluten free options. Far and away the best vegan food in the valley in our opinion. Just an all around top tier spot and we are very thankful to have them in our town!
