“Four stars may actually be a tad bit generous (because I place a lot of emphasis on coffee quality) but small businesses like this need our support, particularly when they are the only coffee shop and bakery for miles around. The scones have stayed very consistent (through at least one ownership change) over probably 20 years, which is amazing for a place that's really out there in the boonies, but of course they get a lot of traffic traveling over the Cascades on Highway 22. As to the coffee it would only meet your standards if you're not too particular about your coffee, it's brewed kind of on the weak side. You might be better off trying an espresso drink, however on the day I visited last they were experiencing issues with their espresso machine.”
“Had the cod and it was delicious! Waitress was very sweet and checked twice to see that we had everything we wanted. Atmosphere was clean and typical for a small town - parking lot was full, but we just parked across the street. Our only complaint was that it was cold inside so we never took off our jackets. This is a small place, but well worth stopping in for a nice variety on the menu and good quality food.”
“Sometimes business can be slow and sometimes its busy but food is good and customers are friendly and so are employees don't feel ignored for long as u wait when it's ”
“Holy toppings batman! There are good subways and there are bad subways. My experience with this one blew me away. They loaded my veggie sub with heaping piles of veg and double cheese. I've had subs before that were so thin, I might of well just eat bread. This sandwich was thick and the veg were fresh. Yes, they were out of a few things, truck didn't deliver, but the staff offered alternatives. I'm used to people just saying sorry, we're out. Staff was hustling even though they were not busy. It was the staff and what they did that made this experience so good. Hope they're paid well.”
“Amazing Brisket and very flavorful sides, great portions, and a very friendly crew! Highly recommended and worth the drive even if you're coming from Salem or further!”
“The food was good. I didn’t get what I ordered so I sent it back and it was a long wait to get my chimichanga, but when I did come, it was delicious. The chicken was very well seasoned and the sauce was creamy. I’m pretty sure they gave me the same beans and rice, though from the first plate because they were dead cold when I got them. The salsa is a little on the spicy side, which we enjoyed. The parrillada Sierra especial is definitely what you want to order. I’ve never had anything like this, and it was worth checking out this restaurant for this menu item. I’m pretty sure the tortillas that came on the side were that familiar store brand. We didn’t eat them. The service was good and our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. The seating and bathroom were very clean.”
“Perfect little diner run by a hard working family. Consistent, good food and large portions.Wheelchair accessibility: Small restaurant, not a great choice for mobility challenged folks”
“The bartender was extremely professional in customer service. I was impressed by the attention we got for newbies and will travel the 20 miles again to visit her and play some games and music maybe a cocktail or two. Shannon is an asset I would recommend her for any customer related jobs.”
“My boyfriend and I stopped in after a day of hiking. This place has a cozy, small town feel. Although there was only one waitress for a while, she was hustling & we got our food quickly. We both ordered salads & beef barley soup -and were surprised at the large portions. The food was delicious and homemade. We will definitely be back if we're in the area again -recommend to anyone looking for a good, homemade meal.”
“Great Food, You always get it hot. The best places to go when you want to bring a nice hot meal home. Plus you are guaranteed to have leftovers. This is a Great Area to retire. Lots of places to fish, Hike, camp, Raft, Boat, places to eat, Scenic drives, Bars, Bars, and Sports Bars in the neighboring town of Mill City. Nature galore, Bird Watching is abundant. Golf course in Lyons off of Northfork Rd. and another in Stayton. Help this place grow become a local they are very friendly here.Thank goodness for all that clear-cutting they did along the river and in certain areas before the big fire. Plenty of land for sale and houses. The residents also respect people's property by staying out of other people's stuff while they are out of state and they don't play stupid games either and you don't have to worry about people trying to drive you off the road.”
“Hands down the best place for coffee and b&gLovely people who work there and honestly the prices are to die for.I spend roughly 13$ on Dutch and for that price I can get food, 2 drinks and a cookie from Canyon.Kid-friendliness: The girls always say hi to my kid and always talk to him, they have never acted annoyed even when extremely busy. I love this place, on top their smoothies are the best sweet healthy treat for a kid a mom could ask for.Dietary restrictions: They have every dairy supplement you can want.”
“Good atmosphere for small and cozy. Reasonably priced food. And good menu!Vegetarian options: NoneParking: Plenty of parking spaceWheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure, but I don't remember seeing a ramp, and the door into the establishment is a tight squeeze. Ramp may be on the other side”
“Pizza is amazing. I typically stop by on my way to Detroit Lake. I took one of my employees their. We had the Sicilian pizza. The dough is so soft. The sauce is perfect and super cheesy. You should definitely stop in and dine in. Great service as well.”
