Momiji Sushi Restaurant - Monmouth

The food here is fantastic! The rice is more of a regular sticky white rice than sushi rice, but it’s really nice because the rice doesn’t take away from massive amount of flavor in the other ingredients. They give a generous amount of wasabi and ginger too. 10/10 would eat again!

Terrible, rude service from Kindell. We felt unwelcome from the time we stepped foot in the door (4 minutes before they opened, forgot the clock in my car is ahead), she quickly let us know we were too early so we waited outside. Once seated we were given 2 menus for 3 people and had 2 place settings. Our appetizer arrived and we needed another place setting, I grabbed one from the table behind us, the next time she came by our table she said, “go ahead and take as many chopsticks as you need.” I let her know we didn’t have enough and had snagged one from the nearby table, her response was, “yeah I saw.” As she rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look. Surprisingly, she did check back after we received our food and brought the requested extra napkins. As we were finishing up our lunch, she barely slowed down or looked at us as she dropped the check on the table. My kids were excited to order mochi and we needed a box. A gentleman came over and offered to cash out our check, I’m assuming she didn’t want to. He was nice and apologetic, which I appreciate, but it was too late, we had decided we will not be returning. On our way out, I handed 2/3 of the cash tip (29%) to the sushi chef, and we left, headed for the store to buy a box of mochi.

Momijis in Monmouth is always one of the friendliest restaurants we frequent. We absolutely love the Honey Bee roll. As far as chains go, this location is fantastic.

Went in for a nice dinner with my girlfriend. The owner/manager dropped a large amount of cash on the ground so I politely told him he had dropped his money, I didn't not receive a thank you just a statement that he almost lost his stripper money. You lost a customer but worse you just found yourself someone that will go out of his way to tell everyone I know that your restaurant is trash following your lead.

I ordered through Doordash. The portions of the bento box was shockingly small for $18. I wanted to split the box with my hubby but there was not enough. Will not be ordering their food any longer.

We have switched to the one in west Salem

The sushi chefs work hard and the food is great. It's to bad the servers suck. We got beers with no way to open them..food with no way to eat it, and the wrong order as well! It's really too bad. Never again. Three strikes in one meal? Your out!
