Deep Thoughts with Morgan

First time tonight, ordered a combo dinner, appetizer and soup/hot tea. The older gentleman serving us was friendly. Food was really good! ☺️ Will go back

The food here felt healthier than other Chinese places I've been to in the past. The vegetables were fresh and the food wasn't overloaded with food coloring. That being said, my Kung Pao tofu could have used more flavor. The vegetable fried rice was pretty good. As per the other reviews, the fried shrimp is amazing! The outside of the building is interesting to look at. I like it. Inside, it's well lit but the booths seem like they could use replacing or refurbishing. The lotto rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms which isn't as common as it should be.The service was awesome. I had two servers who were extremely attentive. My drink was never empty and the food came out quickly.I'm not sure I'll be enthusiastic to go back, but the food gets the job done if you're hungry. It was also reasonably priced.Vegetarian options: There are classic Chinese dishes made vegetarian, including vegetarian hot pot! (I did not confirm meat-veggie cross contamination but the menu says they accommodate vegans so I'd expect that they don't cross contaminate).

We've been there a couple of times now. Food is about average but still good. Price is well for the area.

I'll start by saying the tofu and mushrooms and springrolls i ordered were delicious! Now the confusing portion of the experience: They have the word "vegan" on the front of the menu written as some of their offerings and I certainly didn't doubt it but each item isn't labeled as vegan, or "can be made vegan" etc. The wait staff didn't seem completely knowledgeable or confident in the ingredients or status of the items on the menu. There is a dedicated vegetarian/vegetable section on the menu however so I ordered off of that. Was told the lo mein probably had egg so I played it safe and didn't order that. But the general tso's tofu and sautéed mushroom dishes were delicious as was the spring rolls. It may be due to the off-season, or new or different staff. I'll go back as it's a tasty option on the coast.

Uhh...I am very confused by all of these reviews. I was wooed by all of the raving reviews from people who ordered the gluten free options. They do have a large selection of GF options, but now I am thinking they might not be good.I ordered the egg flower soup. It was tasted like bland chicken broth with corn starch. I also ordered the orange chicken and wow. See picture for what it looked like. It tasted slimy and nothing like orange. I did not eat it. Yikes. I'll continue cooking my own version of GF Chinese food at home.

Our 1st time here today. The restaurant was clean, though our table was sticky. The staff were by far the best part of the experience. Everyone was pleasant, courteous, attentive. The food was a solid mediocre.
