Nothing special, I went to the other MO in Lynclon City on the water, food and everything was so much better.

Parking is difficult, but free. A 15 minute wait for dinner. The staff were polite and friendly. Of course the clam chowder was delicious and creamy.. the oyster stew was great. The cod and halibut fish and chips were excellent. The French fries are very good. And the calamari appetizers was good. The atmosphere was good.

Chowder breadbowl was terrible. Chowder had hard things in it and were served in cold stale breadbowls.

Classic spot with excellent, classic white chowder – which is all I came for (and could afford). They have a modest seafood menu at immodest prices; and serve beer, & Oregon wines.

ps: evidently they'll add a little toy shark skewered on the straw of kids drinks. –But I want one!

It's old , but I guess it is it's own atmosphere, it's very well known in OR , service is great , my husband loved the clam chowder

The clam chowder is as good as you've been told. It was really fast service and our waitress was great!

We had fun, they've have a cheaper menu for kids but it was pretty 🫰 for what we got

Solid stop for seafood but also didn’t quite measure up to the food quality we’d had a few years ago when coming through the area when the place apparently was under different ownership. Still recommend but also I will probably drive the extra distance to Luna Sea on my next visit if I’m not right nest in Newport specifically.

I ordered the Cob fish and chip and it dry. Very dry and tasted like old oil.
I love fish and chips from different place from both coast. By far this was the worst.
