I was travelling recently down the Oregon coast and had read about Mo’s so I tried two different locations - Astoria and Newport. I was disappointed both times. In my opinion the food tasted like reheated frozen meals. I wouldn’t describe it as fresh, although that’s how their marketing portrays it. With that said I had friendly and prompt service at both locations.
The real deal. It’s easy to agree that MO’s has world famous clam chowder. It is so good. The fish and chips was some of the best I’ve had as well. Just right. Service was fast and friendly. Made it a destination to visit while in Newport, OR and you should too.
There was a disappointing lack of seasoning in the chowder. The fries had a good cook in them. The grilled chicken sandwich was a bit inedible... some kind of toughness made it difficult to chew through.
