We have eaten here a few times. The service is always great. Don't expect anything wonderful in the atmosphere. It is an old fashioned diner. You sit in booths, you order, you get served, you eat, you pay (and tip), you go home. Expect exactly what you came in for hot, good food. The prices are right (daily specials are even better). The coffee is hot. There is a bar on one side (if that's what your into-also exactly what you would expect drinks, gambling and food). Say please and thank you, eat well. The end.

Nicest people. Went above and beyond to accommodate what I wanted because where i usually go doesn’t have my usual order anymore so I called around. (Yeah I’m picky lol and aware I’m a probably not a restaurants first choice in customer) Something they definitely could have just been like NOPE. They didn’t even question when I asked for what I wanted, checked with the cooks and just made it happen with a smile on their faces. Didn’t eat in the restaurant itself because we had our dog. Will definitely go back when we can all go in because the they are so welcoming and the food was so good. Would definitely recommend. If the owner is reading this, your whole staff deserves a raise.

Normally I'm very patient and try to be understanding knowing that we are all people. And off days happen. Usually dislike blasting places online, however Newport Steak and Seafood's customer service really felt like a huge let down today. I had planned on ordering a Togo order, walked in - sat for over 5 minutes waiting for a waitress to show up. There were exactly two tables occupied in the silent sitting area (they already had their food by the way) i made eye contact with the cook multiple times, waiting to see the waitress/get a menu...... a man walked in several minutes after me. The waitress came in barely acknowledging me but sat a menu on the table without word and immediately started catering to the man who arrived after me.
Had they been busy - I would have understood 100%. This waitress seamed oblivious and lazy. No sense of urgency.
Very thankful that there are other incredible restaurants in town. Example: The chalet by safeway turned the day around for me in a good way. (They were packed both in their seating area and bakery side, yet still able to take care of everyone in a timely fashion with great attitudes, and the food? Incredible)
