If I could give the service 6 stars I would. The food is excellent and the portions are extremely generous but truly the service at this mom and pop restaurant by owners Karen and Corky make this experience truly top notch. One of my favorite restaurants on the coast!

Karen and her husband Corki have been spoiling coastal locals and tourists for over 40 years and are always amazing! The food is the BEST on the coast! Everything is prepared in steam pots, only otherwise seen at Grand Central Oyster Bar in NYC. Light, clean, flavorful, local seafood!

Wow! What an amazing experience. They food is top quality. Family friendly. A little spendy but the food was SO GOOD. We will definitely be back every time we visit the area.

Wow, what a beautiful and delicious experience my family and I had last night while dining at Sharks! From the moment we walked in the door not only were our noses filled with the most intoxicating smells of seafood but the world’s best and friendliest server made us feel at home right away!! Not only was she knowledgeable about the food but she also talked to our kids, looked them in their eyes (while talking to them) and made them laugh and feel super comfortable!! The crab, clams, oysters on the half shell, and seafood garlic pasta were incredible!! Highly , highly recommend!! We will be back the next time we are in town! Whole staff was very friendly and they all seemed to LOVE where they worked and it showed!! Thank you! You really made our night! We came in hungry and tired and left full and spirits lifted !!!

We've always eaten at Shark's on every trip to Newport and waited impatiently for them to reopen after moving out of their Bayfront location. The food is just as fantastic as it was when they were on the Bayfront. The portions are huge, the service is wonderful and the new location is very nice. Our last couple of visits, we've gotten carry out and eaten it while looking at the ocean. Our favorite dishes are the Combo Pan Roast, the Cioppino Pasta and the Garlic Linguini. Karin and Corky are always so friendly.

The owner is just the sweetest lady ever. She’s very good with children. The food is amazingly good and worth every penny. Portions are large, made fresh. Bread is made fresh in house. Out of all of the places I’ve eaten on the coast, this is hands down the best. Service was fast too. We were in and out in less than an hour.

If you come to the area, YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!
We came here for my birthday, and wow, was it something special. I come from Maryland, but I have lived in Oregon for 10 years now and have never come across seafood as tasty as this place has served up.
The hostess (i believe her name was Karen) is so welcoming and made it feel like I had come hone to my mother's cooking.

Absolutely the best food in Newport. The steel pots uniqueness, the friendliness made our experience completely delicious and fun!

The lady providing table service was very helpful and attentive. The kitchen is in full view in the dining room . You can watch the Chef creating your meal. All fish were either poached or steamed, none or the meal was fried.
