“This place was everything we needed and wanted after a whole day on the road. Both the brisket and taco’s were great, but what made it exceptional was the service. Trying all kinds of beers before ordering out of their amazing selection of draft options. Ambiance was on point. Be sure to pass by Berts if you’re in town.“

“The time was 11:20 p.m. I saw an empty front, which was weird, but then I walked to the back where I was greeted by Georgina. She was the bartender. I ordered a Modelo and I asked for a double meat and cheese burger with guacamole, bacon, and jalapeños. She walked to the kitchen and put gloves on and started to cook. I said, “You’re also the cook?” She said, “Well, yes. Who else is going to cook your food?” I was astonished. The burger was amazing. The seasoning was precise. The meat was tender. The ingredients
were perfect, but what was missing were the jalapeños. Nooooooooo……. Nevertheless, it was great. Thank you so much. The service was great.“

I had the Rueben with tatertots. As a Rueben aficionado, I give the sandwich 8.5 out of 10. Dark marble rye, rather than a light marble, would have bumped it to a 9+. But no complaints and I'll gladly order it again if I'm ever passing through.

The tots were a solid 10. Perfect level of crispy outside and soft inside with a good amount of salt.

Dad had the country fried steak and gave it an 8/10 rating. He's a retired USMC and former restaurant owner, so he's a bigger food critic than I am. 🙃
