Tacos El Zarape is a hidden gem located behind a truck stop. The restaurant serves traditional Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Their taco meal, which comes with three traditional street tacos, beans, and rice, is a popular choice. The filling options, such as barbacoa and carne asada, are flavorful and delicious. The restaurant also offers two house hot sauces, green and red, which add a spicy kick to the meals. The menu is available in both English and Spanish, making it easier for all customers to order. The space is spacious, making it suitable for big parties and celebrations. Customers praise the authentic Mexican cuisine, with one reviewer calling it the "most authentic Mexican restaurant in the lower valley." The Caldo de Res, a traditional Mexican beef soup, is also a popular dish, with one customer saying it "most likely cures any sickness." The friendly staff and reasonable prices make Tacos El Zarape a great place for those wanting a real taste of Mexican food. The cozy ambiance features a small dining area and a nice bar. Overall, the restaurant is appreciated for its authentic flavors and welcoming atmosphere.
