Best easy access dance floor! Tote it up on 80s night.

The Verdict has been a place my family and I have frequented since moving to Oregon City. The food has always been amazing and until recently the service was always great. Our last experience was uncomfortable and awkward after having questions about our 12 year old and 8 year old playing pool. The only area minors are allowed are upstairs where the pool tables are. Our kids have always played pool and we were informed kids were no longer able to play. We fully understand not all children respect how pool tables should be used. We were surprised by this but our kids were also fine sitting as they do normally waiting for dinner on a night out. After this conversation our waitress was unusually short and irritated while serving us the remainder of the night. We recall having sat at this particular waitresses table in the past and have never felt this way. We almost felt like an inconvenience the remainder of the night. The food was fabulous as always but our interactions were uncomfortable. Unfortunately, one experience like this changes our perspective and future considerations to return.

Security is just as bad as Pioneer pub was. Literally was punched in the face 3 times while just sitting there and cameras will show as a group tries to jump me. Over me commenting on someone’s post with their partner saying “cute” meaning cute couple and them being together. Instead was jumped.. friends witnessed it all happen will be seeking litigation and legal action against the party and bar. Don’t come here as security will not properly protect the patrons and properly address the situations

First I stopped going because they were the only bar service in town that didn’t know how to make a Bloody Mary. Then you begged for patrons and we went but nobody was there to seat us as the sign said to do. No more!

After seeing a recent post about the establishment struggling we decided to pop in for dinner this last Saturday night and we’re so glad we did! Service was incredible - we were helped by the Bartender (Brittany I believe) She was attentive, friendly, and made the perfect cocktail. I ordered the Verdict Burger (medium) and that’s exactly how it was prepared. I can honestly say that I can’t remember the last time I received a burger that wasn’t way over cooked while dining out. It along with the fries were absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the Verdict Mac with wings and really enjoyed them as well. 10/10! We will definitely be back!

Love this place. Unfortunately, it's a hidden gem. It shouldn't be... great happy hour, great staff, great bartender, great owner... this should be a regular place for anyone in the Oregon City and West Linn area. Their bourbon selection is fantastic and fairly priced. I wish they had prime Rib or a steak program on the weekends but it is such a great downtown Oregon City establishment, I really feel everyone should patronize this place. Happy hour every day from open to 6 pm so come give it a try!
