“Such great people.Jesse & Randy recommended their house favorite dishes. For starters a fresh crisp ceasor salad with their signature dressing. Paired with their Top Sirloin also with their homemade rub, Homemade dipping sauces for the fries, one spicy and honey mustard. Excellent service. I'm coming back next week to try their BBQ Meatballs.“

“There was one waitress for the entire dining room, which did make our service suffer. She is very nice but equally as inattentive. The food was highly priced for the portion, and I was sad to hear that they serve frozen onion rings, although they are quite good for frozen. The Philly cheese steak we got had really nice bread and had a good flavor, but it was light on the meat and the onions and peppers. For almost $18, I expected a better effort, such as the onion rings being homemade and more peppers and onions. We got a Bloody Mary ($13) that was loaded with fresh veggies and a piece of bacon but lacked tobasco and celery. It was pretty good. The feel of the place was nice with lots of big wooden dining tables and older style decor. It was too dark to view the menu, though.“

“The Tamastslikt Cultural Institute depicts the past, present and future of the tribes along the Oregon Trail. The Cultural Institute shows the daily life, beliefs, and experiences of the Umatilla, Walla Walla, and Cayuse tribes who live in eastern Oregon. It's got a spectacular building on Oregon's High Desert, with amazing views of the Blue Mountains. The Cultural Institute has something for everyone- there are dioramas where you can experience daily life, one can see what it would be like in a boarding school, storytellers, beautiful views. There's Kinship Cafe serving up Indian tacos, salmon nachos, and huckleberry desserts (a fairly new addition) Tamastslikt Cultural Institute provides an indigenous voice and perspective along the Oregon Trail. Admission for adults is $10, youth are $7, kids 5 and under are free. Tickets are good for two days if one day is not enough. A spectacular, respectful, fascinating stop on the Oregon Trail.“
