“Neighborhood restaurant located in small strip mall. Adequate parking. Staff were warm and welcoming - friendly, neighborhood feel. Good menu with range of entrees - all with excellent pricing. For table of 6, all the entrees were excellent - good taste, good presentation. Family recently moved to the area and this has quickly become one of their go-to restaurants. Will definitely go again when in the area.“

“My current favorite for a good burger“

“The experience started out with us waiting almost 40 minutes until we had our first glass of wine. But it vastly improved once the people who were going to a show exited. Our server was then very attentive and excellent interactions with her. Food was very, very good with a salad, short ribs and a lemon mouse dessert. It was beautiful sitting out in the garden and very relaxing. Would definitely return when back in Ashland.“

“A very popular spot and for good reason, the food was great. I absolutely loved the chicken fried steak. The service we had was unique, they are fast and friendly but they tended to be kind of short i imagine it was because they were busy. Highly recomend this spot if you are passing thru!“

“This is some of the better foods in the area. The pancakes are huge, so bring your appetite. My main area of disappointment was service. They didn't refill our drinks, they didn't bring straws, when they come to your table ... they don't ask if you need anything else before leaving (which ultimately makes more work for them, because then they keep running back and forth between all the tables. They are nice, but just poor flow of service. Also, the pancakes 🥞 kind of came out a little cooler and not warm. They only give one syrup container per table ( we had bigger group) which only makes your pancakes colder waiting for the 1 syrup container to get passed around the table“

“On a trip from Washington through Oregon to Arizona, we arrive at our hotel, and I look up nearby places to eat. I review the menu of Decant, call around 5:30 or 6:00, ask if they have a table for 2, pleasant man said what time, I said in 15 minutes, he said yes. Off we went. I had no idea we were to eat in such a lovely little place, let alone did I know that we were about to have one of the best dinners we have had in 3 continents over the last 10 years. It started with a simple salad, some greens with a little sprinkling of cheese. But the flavors exploded in your mouth, how could something be so great. We decided to share an entree, while having 2 appetizers. My wife loved the pork belly; I always love it. The risotto was also lovely. Then the tri tip steak entree. The temperature was perfect, the meat was tender, but the flavor was absolutely heavenly. We are not big steak eaters, but we have certainly had beef prepared in all kinds of ways around the world, but boy this was a thing of beauty. Your mouth was full of flavors that made you know this was no ordinary restaurant.“

“You can call in and pick up your order here, or stop in. I am not sure if you can eat inside, but definitely outside at tables. This is the real deal with a great selection of ingredients for Mediterranean cooking as well. You can buy Pomegranate MOlasses! among other things, but the real reason to go is the food. I had been craving a Gyros for months and hadn't found a really good one in Oregon before I went back to Ashland this week and could revisit Xerces... they are still delicious. My wrap was so good, really fresh lettuce/cuke/onion, excellent sauce, perfect gyros meat, and a nice fresh Pita. Yum!“

“I forget about this hidden gem in Talent! My friend and I had a fabulous meal on a busy Friday night. The dining room was packed! I had the NY strip with mashed potatoes and veggies and my friend had the beef stroganoff! They were both very good. Dinner came with soup, salad and a muffin. The dressings are AMAZING!!! My advice, try all 3, there is plenty of salad to try them all. Lastly, DESSERT! The chocolate mouse with the caramel topping is ridiculously good, so good I ordered 2 for myself. I’ve eaten at this restaurant multiple times over the years and I’m never disappointed with the quality of the food and the service is top notch.“

“One of the best restaurants in Ashland hands down! The food was out of this world and had the most wonderful cozy atmosphere. We had the Duck Dumplings and Shrimp Fitters to start, which were divine. The chefs talent and creativity really showed in each dish. My table got the Seafood of the Day, Pork Cheeks, and the Duck Confit for our entrees. Each of us were blown away! We all commented that it’s one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Needless to say we will be back.

“Went here last night and it was such a terrific experience! The food was amazing and great portions. Every single staff member who saw us said hello, asked if we needed anything. We passed 3 staff members on our way out at different points and all of them wished us well. The ambience was also great: cute string lights and a cozy vibe, great for a date or friend hangout. We were exhausted when we arrived here after a whole day of driving and this place really lifted our whole mood for the day!! 10/10 cannot recommend this place enough. “Remarkable find. Great atmosphere with a kind attentive staff. My coffee and water were always filled. From the counter I could see and hear the cooks or chefs (explain below) interact as they efficiently and loving prepared amazing dish after dish.

I asked Reba, my server, for any recommendations. She proposed the Egg Sandwich and sold me on it. I ordered that and a pancake to accompany a really good cup of coffee.

As good as she described it, the sandwich was better. Pictured in this review, it’s a spinach and Swiss cheese omelette on an English muffin with tomato. The omelette alone would have been a nice breakfast, but as a sandwich, it surpassed expectations. I was initially reluctant to order and sandwich, looking for a more complete breakfast, but it did not fail to deliver. Accompanied with fruit, it was a filling meal that did not leave me sluggish.

The pancake was light and fluffy and perfectly consistent. I lightly topped with powdered sugar it was a delicious complement and contrast to the breakfast sandwich.

Not sure if they are cooks or chefs. In my mind, a cook prepares good food up to order and is something you’d find on a highway roadside greasy spoon. A chef prepares meals with some refinement. They were the combination of both with a slightly obstructed view of the kitchen revealing their care and diligence as much as their efficiency and consistency.

Brothers’ feels like a perfect combination of both the greasy spoon and French style cafe. It is refined and polite while also being casual and comfortable.

The atmosphere is relaxed and positive as the background conversations and sizzling grill with order calls create an atmosphere one would think is relegated to 90’s movie set.

It embodies the values and openness of Ashland.
