The coffee is great. I love coming here. I've been going to 40 lbs since they originally opened. It's my go to study spot, my "I just survived finals" spot and just a great place to get the best avocado toast! The only reason I can't give them five stars is because the last few times I've tried to go down on the weekends and according to their website and social media they should be open. And they're not. Tried to reach out to the owner and got nothing back.

Gorgeous aesthetics here. I love love the wood, the furniture, large windows & light. Great ambiance. It's close to perfect. I just wish they used Oatly for their lattes, not Pacifica. It's a shame because they serve Coava coffee! And I've to dilute that awesome coffee with subpar oat milk. (Califia is also a better option.) PDX Coffee Club across the street serves great coffee AND Oatly so I also go there but the interior of 40LBs is truly hard to beat. Fabulous.

I went for a sticky bun. I got it back to my job only to see it's over baked and burned. This should isn't never made it to the shelf for sale. 5.00 wasted. I'd post a picture, but it doesn't give the option.

40LBS is one of a kind. Great coffee spot in the AM. With great breakfast sandwiches. Lunch time. Don't want coffee. That's cool. Then grab a beer and some lunch. And when the time comes for work to be done. Step on in and enjoy a nice bourbon or cocktail and relax.

Great location, service, tables/set-up, menu. Sometimes it gets load with the a/c or some system that's the only drawback I experienced, but I was sitting in the back so might have been closer to the source

Coffee was off and had no taste because it wasn't mixed in properly. It was missing ingredients like syrup and sugar. EDIT to the owner: Unfortunately I didn't got another customer's order but will change the rating since I do believe you when you mentioned you have been working hard and it might not be fair.
