Kids were screaming but food was good

The food is on the pricy side but that is to be expected when eating at the Zoo in my opinion. I got the Pulled Pork Nachos, both my boyfriend & I really enjoyed them. The service is honestly awful. When we first walked in we saw one of the cashiers getting mad at a mother for asking where to get the food at when it was ready for pickup. The whole staff does not seem to be trained on customer service as we had multiple issue with the guy on the cleaning staff almost running into us as we were getting up from the table to grab stuff.

Guys, don't go to this restaurant, it's very dirty to wait in line. After you've ordered, you wait at least 40 minutes for your order.

A kids grilled cheese sandwich meal (with mandarin orange cup and choice of milk or apple juice cost $14.50. I thought it would have had at least cheddar cheese. No, it's a processed american single. And it was burned. Black. Not golden brown or anything acceptable to serve to another person paying for it?!?

Only $2 more for a whole veggie burger with cheese and fries. I thought that was going to be a better value but the veggie pattie was burned also and extremely dry. I knew it was going to be bad based on going from years ago but had no idea it was going to be this awful.

I knew I should have brought our own lunch. Thought I would treat my family to something nice but we ended up still hungry and angry.

I waited for 30 minutes on *just* chicken strips before going up to the front to ask what was taking so long.

They never even put my order in! Just told me to leave after paying *and* tipping

When I asked about it, I immediately got handed the same food I saw when I started standing in line. It sat under a heat lamp for 40+ minutes by then. It was so hard I couldn't even eat half of it

The cashier wasnt even nice about it, had no idea who I was, and she just yelled at me for not speaking up!

I wasted a total hour of my zoo trip on this and had to leave immediately after, still hungry 😑 and mad.

Way overpriced. Seems like they are serving food that has been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. Super lame. Just cook the food when it's ordered instead of taking shortcuts. Don't expect me to tip when you serve me lukewarm food lol. Nah.

Smash burger was good. Fries OK. Grilled chicken sandwich was not good. Didn't open on time at 10 am. Door was unlocked but they made us leave. We had to get coffee elsewhere. Prices seemed appropriate for the venue. Reasonable wait for food. No signs signs indicating hours. No signs saying you can't bring your own food. Indoor and outdoor seating. There are tables at windows looking into the aviary. The window glass needed cleaning. There was debris on the window sill and under the bench seats. The tables were unstable. There were clean all user family restrooms nearby.

Food was overall tasty but overpriced. Atmosphere is seriously lacking and needs updated modern look and paint. Service has always been so slow and unfriendly. They also all seem like they have never worked this restaurant before. Takes forever for food and now when they give you a "buzzer" for when food is ready, it has annoying beeping that is constantly going off as other orders are done.

Excessively slow. Almost an hour wait for basic fast food is unacceptable.

The Aviary Café at the Oregon Zoo is a fantastic spot for a quick, delicious meal. The burgers are juicy and full of flavor, and the fries are perfectly crispy. We were impressed by the kids' meals too – they offer generous portions, and the chicken strips were a hit with the whole family. Great food, fast service, and a perfect place to refuel while exploring the zoo!

Absolutely incredible how awful the experience was. We waited for 40 minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich. The man working the pick up counter refused to check on my order after dozens of people came and left after me. Finally a nice girl there agreed to check. People were shocked by how long they waited. Ironically people who ordered after me, with 6 or 7 orders got their food before us. I was told they don't fill the orders in order. What? Lol. We almost just left without our food. We will definitely just bring food from home next time.

Spend 14 dollars on the chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was dry and probably old, the pickles and tomato had literally dried out. Pathetic meal for the price.

They had a lion working the counter, which was surprising to me. Kinda dirty and messy, the fries tasted fine and they were all I got.
