“There were three of us in each tried something different. I had the barbecued lamb, my son, the chicken and my husband, the beef stew … all was excellent! The chef was friendly and welcoming. The space is a bit funky but clean and plenty of room and indoors which is nice when the weather is cold, I would highly recommend.“

“I got the goat stew for my daughter and me. They were sold out of injeras, but the owner offered to substitute with rice and I was hesitant. Worried about the rice being dry. The aroma from the kitchen smelled so good, I decided to take a chance and order anyways. I am so glad I did! Everything was amazing!! The goat was tender, the cabbage and salad complimented the stew very well, and the rice was delicious. My toddler ate it all. We will definitely be back for more!“

“I'm giving this restaurant a 5-star rating because they try so hard to please everyone and you know how hard that is to do. The service was good even a little understaffed the night we went. They tried their best to keep a hundred people happy and fed. The food is ample and very affordable for a 5-course meal of soup, salad, bastilla, entree, dessert, and sweet tea. It's a Portland iconic experience everyone would love. Is it perfect? Maybe, not for tall Americans with long legs sitting on little cushion tuffs, but it's a true Moroccan slice of life for us who enjoy different cuisines and atmospheres while dining. It's a very popular place requiring reservations. People want to linger, so the turn-over is probably unpredictable. Come chill. Come and enjoy a good meal and a beautiful belly dancer as cultural entertainment. Long may the restaurant enchant our city!“

“The owner was very welcoming and friendly, and the food was delicious! He claims he has the best rice in town and he is not wrong. Shoutout to their stewed goat dish, it's tender and spiced up in all the right ways. Portions are very generous as well.“
