We had the chefs tasting menu, and it was fantastic. Fabulous food, friendly and attentive service, and a marvelous atmosphere.

Quality has declined over the years. I'm still a fan but am actively looking for a replacement. It's not a good sign when the bar staff talk negatively about the kitchen service/quality for the night. Why would I want to hear about the new cook dishing out dry and bland food as I wait for my meal? I almost canceled and walked after hearing this. I probably should've.

Nice, modern and practical place (industrial type). I loved the Hazelnut tantanmen, such a delight. I have never tried a ramen with this flavor again. So unique, so delicious.

Portland has AMAZING sushi, but this place aint it.A lot of orders are cooked with a butane torch and they don't warn you. Yes, I want the barracuda, No, I don't want it tasting like butane... The kitchen missed an order and they don't properly dress their sushi (got some pieces dressed in ginger, so all you taste is ginger, there goes $20). The prices are similar to Masu Sushi, the quality is not. Lots of staff standing around, maybe they're overstaffed, thus the high prices?$125 for our meal and we left hungry. We will not be back.

Not a good place for nigiri. Pieces about 1/4 the size I am used to. And, no dressing on the yellowtail.

Very cool warehouse-like space with both table and bar seating. I felt like we ordered ~70% of items on the menu to share between three people and it was very affordable. I would recommend the kanpachi, wagyu tartare, karaage, and any of the nigiri + sashimi.

The ramen was sooo good but unfortunately there was no chicken option for me. I had to order the fried chicken to put it in my ramen for the protein, otherwise perfect. We went with my family and enjoyed the service. They got confused with me ordering hot sake and corrected it immediately.
Amazing! With so many options in Portland, it's difficult to choose a place to eat, but this one goes to the top of the list. Great decor and vibe with the glass doors, white tables, green plants - fresh and clean look. Loved the viewable kitchen and the bar that overlooks it. Service is excellent and cocktails are unique and refreshing. Great Sake options and Happy hours prices on popular drinks. The food is the absolute star with the freshest sashimi and tempura to start and amazing Ramen for our meal. Can't wait to visit again! Thank you making our Portland visit complete.Vegetarian options: Tempura vegetables are crazy good.

Hot off the press - the duck Shoyu here is fire. The duck is very tender/fatty and the broth is incredibly flavorful. No other comments about this dish. The apps included chicken karaage which we always get at ramen shops and I’d say this karaage was top 5. The sushi roll was also legit. The ambience speaks for itself in the pics. 10/10. Oh, and I enjoyed the highball.

it was a disappointing experience. The tempura lacked flavor and came with table salt for seasoning, which felt like an afterthought. The ramen broth was bland and lacked depth. Additionally, the service was incredibly slow, with our food taking almost 45 minutes to arrive. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for those seeking authentic and flavorful Japanese cuisine.

My partner and I got food poisoning from here. The music is SUPER loud and plays old country music? Servers were nice.
