Most of the time the sushi is great. This time the sushi chef used the gristley part of a piece of salmon in the roll. I had to couldn't chew it. And the steak was rubbery in the steak roll. I hope next time those 2 kinds of sushi are better.

Consistent yet casual, this is our favorite place eat out at regularly. Fairly priced and always fresh and high quality, and the folks who run it are friendly and run a great place. Couldn't recommend enough as your new sushi spot!

Has really gone downhill recently. The salmon should be top-notch -- this is Portland, after all! -- but it's flavorless. Unagi (eel) should have been moist and of decent size. Instead it was shriveled up, and had no sauce. Food temperature seemed inadequate for food safety. Also, I requested some gari (pickled ginger) but they didn't serve it!! What kind of sushi bar doesn't serve gari?!?
Went in around 4pm and the cashier lady had terrible customer service.

This is a train style (where the dishes roll bye and you grab) which I love. Most everything was very good. Being train style means some stuff may have been up for a while.They do seem to do a lot of rolls their way with slightly different ingredients which I loved.Overall very good for the price. My hungry friend and I left full with a total bill of $26 before tip.

This place is so much better than I remembered it! So many great options on the carousel! Rolls I haven't seen elsewhere!Vegetarian options: A vegan roll and seaweed salad. Maybe more, I wasn't focused on those options.Kid-friendliness: As soon as they're open to trying new things, it's fun to introduce them to sushi at a carousel.Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't see it, but I assume that a wheelchair could pull up to the bar around the carousel.
