Great food until the bread arrives- Dry and tasteless. The baclava for dessert was dry and the pastry tastes like lard.
However the lamb entree was great. My sister enjoyed the vegetarian appetizers and another liked the shrimp.
Lovely owners! Get some bread from Kabob on Hawthorne! You can do better.

Al Amir has been a family favorite for years. The owners know my parents, and our family are fairly regular. I honestly believe Al Amir is the absolute best Lebanese food in Portland. My husband and I just had them Cater our 10th wedding anniversary party, and everyone raves about the food. They were super generous with helping navigate our event. Please consider supporting this restaurant in catering your next event! Al Amir, much love to you all and I hope and pray your restaurant...

Came in on a slow weekday with my wife and the server brought us his favorites without us having to order. Great experience. Food was delicious. The shrimp was my favorite of the combo platter. Definitely try it!
