One of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in Portland. Bro clearly hated being there and cooking food. Falafel wrap in a cold tortilla with iceberg lettuce and a teaspoon of tzatziki. Tragic for $16. Grab a burrito from next cart down instead

Ordered the falafel wrap which said it came with a bunch of stuff including tzatziki, tomatoes, onions and a spicy sauce — came with falafel and lettuce and a tiny bit of some sauce that tasted like Italian salad dressing. The wrap itself was super oily too, definitely not worth $16.

Don’t get the Falafel Salad. Nothing like the picture. The falafels were mushy, the salad was just ice berg lettuce and the hummus was thin and watery.

Wow! The food at Mawj Babylon in Portland at the midtown beer garden was crazy good. The spicy gyro and grape leaves were to die for. #PortlandOregon

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I felt I should share this experience. We ordered the chicken and lamb shawarma plates, but unfortunately, the meat didn't resemble authentic shawarma; it felt pan-cooked, soggy, and over-spiced yet tasteless. While the staff was very friendly and the kebab with rice was actually quite good, the shawarma was a major disappointment.

This is one of the most flavorful gyros I've ever had. Absolutely delicious. They have covered tables nearby where you can sit with heating so it's comfortable year round. Pricing is amazing.

The owner did a wonderful job. The food tasted fantastic, it took less than 20 minutes to order and have the food freshly made. He helped suggest what to try and checked in with me several times to see if I enjoyed his suggestions, which of course I did!

Disgusting, don't recommend at all . Got the kabab over rice Dry rice and no flavor , no salad like the menu shows . Not worth 19$ . Probably the worst shawarma place I have ever been .
