My go to bar in Alberta. Strong drinks, great food, and the bartenders are courteous and unassuming. There's always cool local art/candles for sale which is a nice way to support the community. It's doggo friendly and there's a nice outdoor patio space as well. Love the bartender Roxy and love the chef for his amazing cheesesteaks!!

Great pinball and dive bar ambiance. The bartender made great drinks but I didn't try the food. Enjoy!

I've tipped everyime I've come here and this time I was told by the bartender I "didn't tip enough" I'm never coming back. I'm sorry I ruined your bartendeding expierence tipping $30 extra dollars the times I've come back. I'll never come back to this place. Ridiculous.

cool simple place open till 230 AM. Food is decent and priced well. Drinks are cheap, except for well shots, which are a little on the high side. Pool table, pinball, and large patio. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. the best bar in my neighborhood. :)

Classic punk dive. Don't expect the servers to care about you, but everything else is good.

One of the last bars on Alberta keeping the dive culture of bars alive! Cheap drinks, good bar food, nice tenders, and good seating space! Ambiance is dive-ish with nice outdoor seating, pool tables and unique wall tchotchkes.

Right on the artsy street of Alberta (*street parking only), the Alleyway is a great option for those who enjoy a quirky atmosphere that verges on punk. Drinks are poured well, and reasonably priced, the food can be a little hit or miss but over all not bad (i reccomend the pulled pork - others reccomend the cheese steak, I do not), and the bar tenders are chill and attentive. They always have something on the TV - last time i was there it was 'How it's Made'. A fun vending machine full of eclectic items. The back patio is the shining star. Spacious, lit up with great atmospher lighting, fun writing on the tables. Smoking allowed. It's a great place to meet up with friends for a drink or two. Not rowdy, but still allows for the fun and laughs we look for after work.

The Alleyway Cafe and Bar is one of the last strongholds of Alberta pub scene that truly has live music. This bar has been rocking it for over a decade now, with pin ball machines, pool tables, beer and food specials, karaoke, a large, covered patio and the smallest bathroom in the NE. The Alleyway seems to be the last true dive bar in the district unfortunately, but it is a great place to go meet friends for beers and or a cocktail. Kids are allowed till 8pm, so no kids past dark. Ha. Used to be 10pm until we brought ours to 10pm and they soon changed that. Great place, nice employees, and great atmosphere.

It's a dive bar with the best vending machine ever. Don't expect too much from the drinks - it's what you'd expect from a dive bar.
