This place serves one of the most delicious meals from Egyptian cuisine and they only choose the best quality ingredients. The flavor and the care being put in the food is astonishing! Try it for a nourishing lunch or even a late night guilty pleasure!

I can not say enough good about this place. The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh. It’s very tasty. I have always been greeted with a friendly smile and thanked for my business. It’s easy to order and my orders have always been ready and correct. I had no idea what Egyptian food was like and I am so glad I found this place. But beyond that, the ingredients are clearly selected carefully. Grass fed meat and organic food. The pasta is outstanding for gluten free and the garbanzo beans are outstanding. I don’t think they are coming out of a can. Awesome place! — let me not forget to mention the date balls, fresh! Not too sweet. I get them every time.

We have ordered from Malek 8X in the last 12 months. Every single time the food has been delicious. This evening we had a mishap with the paper bag. I know the owner takes great care to package the food but sometimes containers fail. I ordered the lentil soup along with Chicken Lala. Without going into all the details I will say this. The owner was not obligated to do anything other than provide the original order. He went above and beyond, although I’m certain the encounter perturbed him. I am extremely thankful for the 5 star service and the high quality flavorful meal to sustain me through a long work night.

The food here is amazing! We were even given free servings of lentil soup which were delicious! My brother has celiac and was super happy to find this place as everything is gluten free. Even if you are not gluten-free this place is amazing and a must try. Everything is delicious and you would not know its gluten free. Plus great hours for late night eats and unique menu items!

Only place you can get real Koshary in Portland! Definitely recommended.

Take out only and no seating area for waiting, make sure you order ahead of time.
