This restaurant has easily become my favorite in Portland. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and packed full of care. The owner/chef is the sweetest person ever and always stops to check how things are. Every person I take here loves it just as much as I do!

Based on the reviews, Amaebi Sushi and Hibachi offers delicious food with a cozy, casual feel. The Hibachi combo meals, Filet Mignon and shrimp, chicken bento box lunch special, steak/shrimp hibachi, and salmon lover roll are all highlighted as tasty options. The rolls are flavorful, the sashimi is fresh, and the potstickers are incredibly fresh and super crispy. The poke bowls are also a good choice, though the BBQ Bao is not that great. The food is made fresh and comes out looking top notch for a decent price. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. However, the atmosphere can be bland and gloomy with not a lot of seating. Service can take really long during popular hours, and while some items like the chicken in the hibachi are great, other items can be underwhelming. The food itself is the main reason to visit.
