I had never heard about them until I heard they were closing. My nick name as a kid was Anna Bannana as a kid so I wanted to visit before they closed. Metba friend there for a Mocha

This is a nice cozy coffee shop with amazing drinkings. I don't mind driving from downtown Portland to St. John's to go hiking nearby if I know that I'm getting Anna Bananas.

I like the food here and because of that I keep coming despite the fact that everyone seems to move as slow as possible. But today I waited over 30 minutes for two incredibly basic bagel sandwiches and they were both completely wrong when I got home. Tried to call multiple times, no answer. So I guess why bother. I just won't go back. LOL to the response I got - I see where the customer service policy comes from.

The decor is, well, like an eclectic living room from the early 1960's. Furnishings are comfortable and familiar. Nothing matches and everything blends. I keep going in and trying different chairs and tables and everything is comfortable, clean and easygoing. The black coffee is smooth and not overheated. Not bitter. The brownies are home baked and hand wrapped. Definitely a place haunted by the spirits of hippies who once passed through on their way back south. Prices are reasonable.

Great food. Eggs are oddly cooked by a coffee machine though. About half of the employees are great and the others are very... Portland in the area of kindness. The lox bagel is top notch, the cold brew and hand pies should also be tried if you enjoy those items. I love the atmosphere and almost always accidentally hear a very entertaining interaction between patrons or a patron and an employee.

This has to be one of the best spots in Portland. The breakfast is off the hook, the service is incredible, the location is in an awesome part of historic Portland. I would recommend Anna Bannanas again and again. 10/10

Stopped by here real quick to grab a coffee to go. There were three options hot and ready to go so we didn't have to wait at all. We went with the dark roast and were on our way. The service was quick and friendly. The coffee tasty and fresh!
