We have been coming here for a few years for an early pre-Symphony Concert dinner and always thought the food was good value for downtown Portland. The new menu this fall has added some interesting items - I had the Short Rib Cottage Pie and it was excellent and made with sweet potatoes. Dinner before lecture in the same building. I was hoping for a salad, but not tempeh and kale. They was none. Had a Reuben type hot dog with kraut and thousand island dressing. This was good. Spouse had Bento box chicken that was reasonably moist with plain rice and a sweet/sour sauce separately. Popped in here about an hour before the concert. Service was fantastic; ambiance amazing & food delicious too! We were delighted; didn't know this spot even existed. Would definitely return if/when we needed a quick bite even if we didn't have tickets to a performance. Really super spot for quiet conversation too!
