Most of the burritos are superb, but I'd avoid the fish burrito. Lots of beans and rice, very little fish. Tacos camarones and chorizo were very good. Great place to grab a craft beer from John's Market and sit by the fire pit.

Tried this truck again after a long time, remembering it hitting the spot last time.

Place has gone downhill fast. Ordered the Cali burrito. Did not receive a Cali burrito. No fries or sauce in burrito. Just steak, soggy rice, and tomatoes and onions.

Lame to spend $13 on this and not know how bad it’s until too late since I took it to go.

Tried to engage person working there a few times to no avail. Another person asked to order and was given a glare so they chose to leave. Maybe just an off day but still damn cmon

Should know better next time to just skip!

The young worker seems to always hate every time my partner and I go to order. We always talk in a friendly/polite manner to him but he acts like we just insulted him or something. After going several times and getting the same treatment, we're never going back. The man seems to always be angry, and hostile. Makes me feel bad for just wanting to order some tacos.

First time trying this cart out of the blue. Made a point to leave review raving about the high quality, tasty burrito especial I had today, with a stellar habanero salsa plus really dense (creamy not milky) flan. I also thought the older gentleman working was delightful.

Which is why I'm super surprised to see so many negative reviews! In any case, maybe there's been a personnel change, and things are looking up!

I didn't have any issues with the service, I believe he was nice & to the point. I got cheese enchiladas which I did request no pico to Gallo but it was still included.
Overall the food did have good flavor, good spice. But the rice was very very mushy almost wet (which could be from everything in one box all cramped together). The beans are watery, to the point they didn't even stay on my chips. And the enchiladas unfortunately were still cold in the middle hardly melted cheese. Disappointing but what can't ya do.

I didn't want to give up on him so I ordered on several occasions, food sometimes good. But.. Idk why people say good service!
Maybe he doesn't have the stamina to be mean to every single person!
Is he the owner, indentured family or what?
I work in service and sometimes have entitled customers or Im feeling my real life ~so sometimes you just Don't want to ! THIS is NOT that.
He is so outrageous I actually wondered if he was going for that 'rude cart shtick'!?#
Anyway -There are so many good spots in the area, there is no reason to go back here again.

Good luck
I truly hope your day gets better.

My partner and I waited quietly for about 5–6 minutes to order. The young man working the truck was seemingly alone and busy cooking, so we were patient — until he turned around and, instead of greeting us, snapped, “What are you looking at?” When I explained we were just waiting to order, he repeated the question, even more aggressively, as if standing there was somehow offensive.

I ordered anyway (stupidly, in hindsight) while he shook his head the entire time and then overcharged me. When my partner stepped up, he got the same treatment — including the bizarre, insulting question, “Do you speak English?”

I’ve never seen someone act so openly hostile toward paying customers. There are countless food trucks in Portland that actually want your business. Go to literally any of them instead.

I love Mexican food so I always try out random carts and places I see on a whim. Wish I would've checked the reviews on this place. The young man at the counter (who I'm seeing everyone in the reviews also has had negative experiences with) looked at me dead in the eyes for about 10 seconds and then slammed his knife down on the cutting board when I was trying to order something. I should've just left, but I ordered and gave a nice tip thinking that would dissuade him from spitting in my food (even though all I've done thus far is try to order).

I get my food, (not my horchata though, had to ask for that) and the burrito I received was practically inedible. Incredibly salty steak, tasteless rice and guacamole sauce made with rotting avocados. Avoid this place at all costs.

Came here twice , the first time there was an elder man who was quiet but was nice and took my order . Food was good so I wanted to come back again hoping to have found my go to Mexican food cart .
My second visit is why I’m giving it a 2 star I sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for someone. The sign said open I assumed maybe he stepped out for a break or something . At first I shouted “hello” to see if anyone is there with no response, 5 minutes later ended up calling the number and heard someone’s cell phone go off and out of the very corner a young kid came up to answer phone . I told him that’s just me but he did not respond to me he kept trying to answer the cell phone. He went right back to the corner and ignored me and again I asked him”hello” and “are you open?” The kid gives me the blankest stare like he did not care at all and just said “what will you order”

I asked again “are you open?” And again he said “what will you order” from this point on I waited almost 20 minutes my lunch break is already almost over so I just gave up on this place. The kid had no interest in serving anyone so I didn’t want to waste any more of my time or apparently his .

Food from the first time was pretty good but what I’m seeing from other reviews with similar problems the service could be better.

Don’t hire kids (related or not) if they don’t want to be there .

This has got to be the BEST taco truck in the PDX area. I always get their tacos al pastor, im never disappointed.

Food is ok but the guy that works here is miserable. The last time we tried this cart we were left standing at the window for 20 minutes and he never acknowledged us. We kept waiting bc of the sunken cost fallacy, surely if we waited 5 more minutes he would say something? Etc. Never giving this guy another dime. Before this I always tipped him well and was nothing but kind.

Recently I stood there for 5-10 minutes and the guy was right behind the counter doing food prep. He didn’t look at me or say anything to me. After a while I asked if they were open and he just said “I don’t know, check the sign.” Pretty rude. Other visits the food was very average.

Chips and guacamole were great. Shrimp burrito was WAY too salty. Side order was missing and no salsa included with delivery order.

Food was ok, although burrito was not wrapped properly. The primary reason for this review is the terrible attitude of the guy working the food cart. He was in the back ignoring me for more than 5 minutes. He doesn’t say anything, just takes your money. I would not recommend this place.
