first experience here and it was amazing! yummy food and very outstanding service! I came in right after my eye surgery and the server was very caring and kind. May have been the owner, not sure but it was a pleasant experience! best saffron iced tea ever!

They have changed their name and website: They mentioned Mexican food so we decided to go in there. We walked by yesterday (Sunday) and the open sign was on so we went in. Later I looked at the website and they are closed Sundays. But we tried to go their last Monday and they were closed so I think it's hit or miss with these folks. We walked in and we were the only clients in the place and the 20ish male greeted us but didn't seem to know what to do with us. So, I said, sit anywhere and he agreed. I picked the cleanest looking table. He then asked if we wanted a menu we said yes and from a stack of menus he handed my husband one menu and left the area. I said to my husband, one menu, really? Our waiter then returned before I had a chance to look at the one menu and said ready to order. I looked quickly and made a decision. I could see the clear refrigerated case which had Coke and Diet Coke in it. I decided that was probably all they had so I made a note of that. In my cursory view of the one menu there was no mention what so ever about the Mexican food and I decided that wasn't a thing yet even though the website and the exterior sign tout it. My husband ordered an iced tea and the waiter said we are out of that. After he turned in the order to the cook, he said to go right? I said no we are eating here even though it was 80+ degrees inside and about 75 outside. He seemed disappointed at that answer but went back in the kitchen with cook and about his business. Our meals came swiftly and I received only a metal spoon to eat my chicken, rice, and hummus. My husband who ordered a sandwich and some baba ganoush got a plastic spork? Then he brought the Diet Cokes out of the the clear cooler. Inside next to them was a McDonald's sack and a half a bottle of Odwalla. (Employee snacks maybe)? The food was good and a lot of it. We needed a box and the check. No one came out of the kitchen so I went up to the window and asked for boxes which they gave us and finally got a bill so we could depart. TLDR: Good food-get it to go. And no Mexican cuisine apparently (out they were out of it??

The place is not as bad as what the other reviews say. The owner is super nice and even gave me a free plate of hummus, which is super good and creamy. I order the lamb and beef gyro, it wasn't anything too special, but I still really liked it. The food isn't cold like what the other reviews say. I also got the smoothie and it's pretty amazing. The restaurant setting is a little messy, but ya not dirty or anything and I couldn't care less about that. Overall it was a pretty good experience. I would definitely come back in the future.

Baba Fresh has the BEST hummus I've ever had in my life. I know it seems like you can't really do much with chickpeas, but I'm sad I don't live in portland - all I want is some of their hummus!!!!

As soon as I walked in, I knew I should have turned right around, but felt bad and ordered anyway(what was i thinking?). I ordered the chicken gyro...the meat was room temperature and mealy...super gross. The tomatoes and lettuce looked wilted, the yogurt sauce was decent. I hope I don't get sick. The entire restaurant was a mess, boxes everywhere, only one random bag of chips on the shelf. I should have read the reviews before stopping in. Never again!

Baja Fresh customers were coming in there by the droves when they first opened. The guy taking my order saw my confused gaze at the menu and, with a smirk on his face, asked me if I thought I entered a Baja Fresh. I affirmed. He giggled and said, "A lot of people think that."
