BAES Fried Chicken

Ordered Delivery. I've never had such bad fried chicken with such small portions. Also, their mac and cheese tasted like buttered noodles.

Missing out if you have not had the pleasure of dinning here!!! I stumbled upon BAES A few weeks ago and have eaten there about 5 times and when ever I'm in the area but wouldn't think twice about driving cross country to enjoy there wonderful food. Everything I have eaten there is one of a kind. By far the best tasting chicken I have ever eaten. No matter what you choose you will be delighted and convinced that you chose the best thing in there menu. If you have not had the pleasure of eating there then make it a point and you will with no doubt very glad that you did!!! Guaranteed!!!

Enjoyed it! Enjoyed it! ENJOYED IT!! Had the fried chicken & waffles.. Took a minute for me to be seated but they apologized because there was a little issue happening, but kind warm service. OMG! The suggested honey butter chicken flavor is HEAVENLY!! It came out super quick, it was nice and hot and the chicken was cooked evenly and nice and juicy!! Plus even with the honey added to the chicken it wasn't overtly sweet.. The waffles were fluffy and just oh so yummy.. The atmosphere was delicate, inviting, and cozy! Definitely coming back when up in Portland again ?

Parking: I went during the early afternoon so it was good for street parking, I don't know how it would be after hours because there are other eateries around that weren't open until around the dinner time.

Booooooo... well, clearly, I haven't been in recently, but the new menu is very disappointing. They took off almost everything that I used to order there. I turned around and walked out. No meat on the bone and no vegetables. I work close by, but don't imagine I'll be back...

Had high hopes with this place. Their nashville hot is not that hot but def the house buffalo sauce has a kick. I will go again just for their chicken&waffle and the hot honey

This place has good catfish. Came here with my family for fried chicken, and all they had was chicken tenders. We were all very hungry, so we ended up ordering 2 chicken sandwiches and a small order of wings. The sandwiches were good, and the wings were not. The server was very friendly and informative. Hope you guys bring fried chicken back, and I will give it another shot.

Decided to do a walk around the Alberta arts district and came across this spot. Saw it next to Boxer Ramen (closed but soon to be fat kitty) and decided to go inside. The interior decor is interesting. It doesn't give chicken spot vibes. It's interesting and you'll see it for yourself. The tables were very well kept and clean.

The sauces were all great - honey mustard, comeback sauce, house ranch, and peach BBQ. My friend enjoyed the peach BBQ the most!!

The wings are huge! 12 PCs is enough for two people. Don't do what I did and find a balance with eating the wings and the waffle fries.

The server was friendly and knowledgeable! Thanks again.

The restrooms were well kept, at least the men's.

We went here when the place opened, and the food was good. We've since ordered pickup three times over the last year or so; we live in the neighborhood. And every single time, the chicken is hammered beyond recognition. The meat is over-cooked to the point of being stringy and almost inedible. And sadly, I can't vouch for anything else, either. The gravy is boring. The cheese sauce is literally an overly salty roux. They must just wave cheese over the pot to be able to call it cheese sauce. The honey mustard sauce has a thick, jammy consistency. It's nasty. I am sad to leave this review, because I would love to have a good fried chicken place close by. Oh wait! I'm lying. The waffle fries were good after I re-heated them. Make jojo's! Fix your sht! We miss you.

Unfortunately, BAE's Fried Chicken is no longer a high-quality chicken restaurant I've come to love due to the impact of inflation making their menu smaller and more simpler.

It's now turning into fast food serving chicken tenders and sliders. Don't get me wrong — they're still tasty and delicious. But I come here ultimately for their Nashville Hot breasts, thighs, and wings. Not chicken and waffles.
