Nice cozy quick spot near the convention center, perfect for a quick lunch, even if there is a decent line. I had the steamer bao with pork (A+), spicy tofu (B), and Lotus (A). It seemed like good value for the price. There isn't too much room for seating but they can still fit quite a few people.

Easily one of my favorite places to eat. Dine in, take out, it's all wonderful!

Excellent service | Delicious baos

We unexpectedly stumbled upon this great find. We were greeted by a friendly worker who suggested to try their pork bao since we were looking to buy the 5 pack. She was so kind, she threw in 2 extra baos for us!! It was a great way to sample their flavors, so now when we return we’ll know what to get more of. We ordered these flavors: mushroom (vegan), chicken curry, pork, and sweet lotus.

Wow - please do yourself a favor and get the pork! My mouth waters as I write this review. The sweet lotus is for those who like a nougat taste like black sesame. The vegan mushroom is full of flavor! The chicken curry is really good with a little bit of spice for those who like a tad spicy.

Great prices. I want to come back and try one of their noodle soup dishes. This place is great! Great atmosphere too. It’s next door to Project Matcha.

Great food, very reasonably priced. Served very quickly. Lots of seating and space even for a family readily available on a Sunday. Staff was engaged and helpful. Even managed parking easily. 10/10 experience.

Fast counter service, friendly staff. Delicious bao. I got one of each pork, spicy tofu, mushroom, and curry chicken.

One of the best spots to eat in PDX. I started visiting them as a food cart and am still thrilled with the quality of their food each time I visit! Delicious menu, friendly service!

I wanted to like this place, but the quality of food was very low. I had the lotus bao and jia jiang mian. The bao was basically a cream filled donut for $3.5 and the noodles were about 25% oil-soup. I lived in Beijing, I’ve never had jia jiang mian that was this oily, it’s actually typically one of the few non oily dishes popular in northern China.

Great lunch spot with fresh food and tasty Bao’s! We feel light and perfectly satisfied. Good home style flavor with a simple yet satisfying menu.
Adding to my return list! :)

I tried a chicken curry bao, a mushroom bao, a pork bao and the Zha Jiang noodles with tofu. The only good food item was the pork bao. The mushroom bao was flavorless and Zha Jiang noodles were bland yet astringent.
The bao dough could use more salt too.

Great service, tasty bao and excellent dumplings.

Wanted to give this place a try but was a little disappointed. Kind and helpful service but the food was pretty bland.

Tried the pork and chicken curry bao. I like the texture of the buns themselves and the pork was the best of everything we tried. Chicken curry was pretty bland.

Tried the Zha Jiang Noodles— dish overall, couldn’t tell what they were going for. Flavor was somehow all over the place and still bland. Fresh ingredients though.

Also tried the Jelly Noodles (?). Good concept but the flavors were too strong. Maybe if it was a smaller serving, would’ve been okay but it was hard to finish.

Wonton Soup was second to top best. I think could’ve done without the noodles and pickled somethings (I don’t remember what they were honestly) but it was otherwise nice and refreshing.

Got the veggie and park pan-fried dumplings. They were way too oily and again bland. Even the sauce was bland. We tried these and the other dishes with their chili oil too and that didn’t add much.

If I went back, I’d probably try the other bao fillings since that’s their namesake.

Decent price, but wasn't very tasty. Had every bao - only kinda liked the chicken curry and tofu.

There was a disgusting hair in the bun. Hard pass, y’all.

Clearly, this is a hotspot for lunch, because everyone attending the AEA conference was in this one little place. Their chicken curry, red bean, and spicy tofu baos were incredible, and worth the long line! I also enjoyed the cucumber salad and lemonade.

The selection is minimal, but made up for by the quality of the bao. There is a freezer you can buy from and take home to heat for yourself.

On street parking, might have to circle a few times to find a spot, but worth it.

A couple of poke gyms and stops from the dining area.
