Portland has fewer restaurants specializing in Spanish cuisine than it used to a few years ago. Bar Casa Vale does a great job of preparing many of my favorite dishes from Spain, including octopus and paella. Friendly, professional service and a creative cocktail menu too.
I've been here twice when visiting PD. Both times I've been simply wowed by the food. There are large plates available but we've gone for the tapas. This time we went with the prawns in chili oil (not hot) and the roasted Brussels sprouts with a maple glaze.
