I'm guessing this place is closed. I know they would randomly just be closed during their business hours all the time but the last 5 times I've tried to go, no one has been home.
Not open on a Sunday morning. So glad I got off the MAX in the rain for no reason.
The Gugelhupf was perfect. I have never experienced such a wonderfully fluffy and mature texture. The craftspersonship really shines through in their bakes, and the owner topped my cake with a little whipped cream which definitely put a smile on my face. ☺️
Their sandwiches and pastries are amazing! Pictured is a blt+arugula+avocado+turkey on white rye.
Incredible bakery! What a gem to have on Interstate. Authentic, in-house made pastry. Someone else said not to skip on the marion berry turn over & I’m here to second that. The chocolate croissant is also unmatched.
Pretty good pastries, but as someone that comes here often, their coffee is terrible and they randomly don’t open some days with no warning. No post on social media or on the front door.So you’ll travel to the shop only to be screwed.
The Apricot Krapfen (same as the Polish pączki) is out of this world good. Not too sweet, delicate and fluffy. It's Perfect.
Holy wow! This chocolate croissant is amazing. Perfect. And the coffee is also very good. The baker/owner is from Vienna and they know what they are doing! Definitely stop here. There is a little street parking right around the corner. Amazing bakery. If I could give more stars I would.
Absolutely wonderful bakery! It’s unique and has a welcoming atmosphere. They aren’t trying to be another Portland spot, they stand out. The pastries are absolutely wonderful! Don’t skip on the marionberry turn over! Not too sweet, just right. While sitting outside my sister split her coffee. I went in to purchase another coffee for her and without missing a beat the owner said “need another coffee?” She poured another coffee at no charge. Kind owners, excellent customer service, and amazing pastries it’s an east 5 start.
Great pastry 4 square with a half peach in the center. Perfection with perfectly flaky pastry, wonderful vanilla cream and unbelievable sweet peach topping it all offThe Gugelhupf was lovely moist and buttery mini-bundt type cakeHighly recommendI can't wait to go back there and try the Bread

Go! It's a true taste of Austrian cuisine right in the backyard of Portland. The staff were extremely welcoming and able to work with what we wanted to order. The pastries were amazing and you can tell all handmade.
Would highly recommend getting the pastries in the morning as they will be the most fresh, they have a delicious selection. Funnily enough all of their furniture is from IKEA and makes for an OK dine in experience.
Great bakery with a selection of authentic Austrian pastries. Prices also seem far more reasonable than many of the coffee shops nearby!
Got drip coffee, chai latte, and a croissant. The croissant looked flat, although they were made on that day according to them. Maybe they let the butter melt before baking it? The drip coffee was so so, the chai latte tasted watery. It’s cheap, but in a city full of great bakery I don’t know why you want to go there.
Wow, I love this place. The breakfast sandwiches made with their croissants are delicious and huge. The filled donuts are amazing. Highly recommend.
