I’ve been looking for a spacious and easy to reach cafe on the east side of Portland via public transportation for some time now, and I think I’ve found the unicorn of cafes that serve the tastiest non chain restaurant bagel and lox I’ve ever had in Portland. Generous portions of lox and chive cream cheese on a toasted bagel is a perfect companion to my iced mocha in the morning.
A spacious and airy interior that feels like Steve Jobs himself would have approved of, if Apple decided to open up a chain of Apple cafes!

Hours need to be updated! They close at 4pm on Sundays but it is listed as 5pm on their Instagram and on Google. Was excited for their promotion but sadly they were closed but the front door was still open.
I came here during the summer! They had a strawberry shortcake latte that I had seen advertised on IG where it was posted multiple times that people had subbed out the espresso for matcha (never from their official account but reposted from other accounts). I asked for the latte with matcha and the cashier told me they could not do that. I told him that I had seen the matcha version posted on Instagram and he told me it wasn’t a menu item and they would not offer that. I said that I understood and looked at the menu again to figure out what I would have instead…after waiting a few moments for me to decide he looked impatient and disgruntled and rolled his eyes and said “I guess we can make it for you that way.” I appreciate the fact that they let me order the latte, but the cashier was rude and I left me feeling like an inconvenience. Perhaps use discretion when reposting non-menu items? Otherwise really cute shop!

Great music, great matcha, and great vibes! The bagel sando was really tasty too. I just hung out for about 2 hours with a friend and the time flew by. There's a ton of space and the location is great. Also, the staff was really kind. I will definitely be back!

Nice location on division, very open space.
After coming a few more times, it’s not for me; doesn’t have very comfortable seating for working, and the drinks are mostly good if you want something sweet. Since it leans Vietnamese and darker roasted coffee, you’ll get something pretty bitter otherwise.

Got the tiramisu and vanilla bean latte with oat, both very good! Inside was immaculately clean, spacious, and welcoming. Add me to the list of regulars!

It's just alright, pricey but comparable to other coffee spots in the area. Drinks took a while as there was only one person working, and people who ordered after me got their drinks before I did. Ordered one of their seasonal drinks, the vanilla bean latte, which came not filled to the top of the cup unlike my partner's regular latte, and also tasted burnt.

The drinks are amazing. Especially the chocolate earl grey cold brew. It was strong caffeine-wise as well. Food was mids in my opinion, nothing compared to the skill of their drink flavorings.
came in here at 3:15 barista let me know they just are closed. says they close at 5pm on Sundays. Just not a good vibe from the person working there either, just felt hostile and i was bothering her closing up early. i’m sure the drinks are fine but why would i put myself through that again to come here.

I just got an oat latte, no sweetener there, and it was rather sour and acrid and missing a lot of the body that a good espresso shot should have. Didn't try any of the food.
The service was good. Took my order and promptly gave me my drink. No complaints there.
The atmosphere I would say needs a little more oomph. Decorations are sparse for the size of the walls, with some walls being almost entirely bare. The paintings that are on the walls are cool though. Furniture is quite uncomfortable, being entirely hard surfaces with zero cushion. Most seats lack back support. Echoey with hardwood floors and tables.
Make no mistake, Better Days is entirely serviceable. This was not a bad experience, but there are at least 2 other cafes on Division that I would choose before this one.
