Too spicy; no offer of a milder seasoning. Adding $1.00 to the cost for frying the chicken seems silly-just make the chicken one price. Slaw was put in same container as hot chicken, so was warm and wilted. Included sauces were not to our liking. Jojos were good, but not exceptional. Paid over $23 for one meal, and to us that was expensive. Service very friendly; chicken tender and juicy; atmosphere casual and easy-going. On street parking available.

This place is really tasty! If you like fried chicken, this is a place you have to try! I love how unapologetically herbacious and spicy the chicken is by default, and you feel FULL after just eating half a bird (I seriously can't eat a full one unless I was practically starving to death). The only knit pick I have is that the food is a little pricey, but then again, why should I care? If something is so well made, I can't complain that much. š

Extreamly rude staff that donāt know how to do their job, especially the male adult baby. Over priced and over seasoned chicken. Looks like they decorated from a Cracker Barrel estate sale.

I love this place and will give it five stars for every other time I have had it delivered but I finally came to the shop myself for pick up (7-25-2025) and was very disappointed. Everything was so flavorless and extremely hot! Great dirty rice is hard to find here in Portland but Bigs has always delivered! Not last night though where it was all heat and no flavor, same with the gravy. My fried thighs were not hot (thankfully) but they were tossed in a breading that had no spices added. i am only now leaving a review of one of my favorite spots because I have literally saved it specifically for the day I am actually able to come to the shop. I am a chef consultant and food ops manager so this does not mean I am done with Bigs. I will be back but I may have to ask to sample some things before I pay for them next time as my trust in their ability to provide consistency (one of if not the most important of the traits you should maintain in a restaurant) has been drastically challenged š¤·āāļø

Went in because they had some plant based options.. ordered the rice and they brought it out with sausage. The waitress who brought it out didnāt even apologize to me and just brought me the vegan one but didnāt mention anything and we had already paid beforehand to order.
Late dinner Chicken was really good but I was in heaven with the potato wedges! The service was really friendly. I want to go back just to get the carbs hahaha

I decided to check this place out as I was in the area and was hoping to be amazed by a great meal. I ordered some wings, JoJoās (western fries) and the dark meat of the chicken. My plan was to eat some while there and take the rest home. When I asked for a to go box, the cashier/server said to me, āI thought you said you were dining inā. What difference did it make or maybe it was an unusual request, Iāll never know. The JoJoās were amazing but the chicken wings tasted over cooked. I boxed up the rest and took it home. As I was shedding the chicken, it looked done on the outside but was half cooked on the inside. There was a lot of pink on the inside, so much that in reality I paid over forty dollars for fries and a refillable drink. If I wouldnāt have shedded the chicken I wouldāve likely gotten sick from it being undercooked. I have no opinion about the atmosphere so I didnāt rate it.

I had it for the first time and didnāt loved it and I thought that it was because I ordered on a delivery app. Gave it a second chance and this time I ordered it there, not even ahead of time. It was good but not great and I expected great when I payed $25.24 for 1/2 bird with 2 very mid side and didnāt even include a drink. The chicken had good taste but dry breast and leg and I am not trying to be mean but honestly not better than a Costco tissy for $6. I was disappointed the first time with what I paid for what I got and blamed it on being lazy and not getting it myself. I wanted to love it because I just moved to the area. The portions were big and worth the price but the food itself kinda mid for the $25 ticket.
