About Wajan

Wajan is a family-owned restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. The food is described as "SUPER, MIND-BLOWINGly Delicious and authentic," with the Nasi Campur with Ayam goreng receiving high praise for its amazing flavors, especially the eggplant with balado chili sauce. Customers found the food awesome and authentic, with some noting it was their first time eating this kind of food. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable, and thoughtful, with servers more than willing to help out. The restaurant's decor, including the wall paintings, adds to the overall aesthetic appeal, creating a cozy, unique atmosphere.

The restaurant also offers delicious vegan options, such as Bubur and Nasi, with their tempeh having a great marinade. Customers have enjoyed dishes like Martabak Telor Mini, Sayur Nangka, and Udang Balado, finding them delicious, satisfying, and having just the right amount of spice. The flavors are reminiscent of Thai, Burmese, and perhaps a touch of Indian food. However, some customers noted that the food was not as flavorful as they expected for Indonesian cuisine, with the rendang dish lacking in flavor. The presentation is great, but the crackers were stale. The satay and the ayam goreng (fried chicken) were good.

When we were finished eating, the owner/cook came out and chatted with my friend about back home (Jakarta). When it was time to go we got our check along with a complimentary dessert, a sponge cake with shredded coconut on top. This...read full review
Authentic Indonesian dishes like Oma and all my Tantes used to cook!
I had my rehearsal dinner at Wajan and they went above and beyond in making sure it was the best rehearsal dinner ever. I reached out via email and Feny was extremely gracious, offering their back patio to let our party have some privacy. Their servers were kind, prompt, and helpful to 25+ guests. As an Indonesian, I was very impressed by the food. Many of our guests had dietary restrictions and Feny worked to ensure the menu met all of them while still being delicious! The atmosphere...read full review
