First of all, i loved that i could order online. Then when i arrived to pick it up, they had questions about my order. Super friendly and really wanted to make sure they got it right. Tried the Cuban coffee, I've got a new obsession! Hint of brown sugar and some cinnamon 👍
Reasonable prices, great cold brew, nice atmosphere, clean, and lots of natural lighting! :)
A great little neighborhood coffee shop. Service was great and coffee was ready very fast. Lots of seating and cute shop.
Best tasting decaf beans in Portland!
This is our favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. The new owner’s have the best music/playlists. Try the pop tart & the Cubano. 👍🏻
First time here in a while and noticed new ownership and changes. The coffee menu is different and does not seem like a artistic coffee house anymore. The first tip off was that there was 3 sizes for a cappuccino you could order. Cappuccinos should only come in one size and should be 6 oz.
Two, my 8 oz cap was scalding hot. Boiling. I couldn't drink it for about 20 min. This also should not the case for an espresso drink. Three, it tasted like milk, not espresso. Boo. The service was quick and efficient, mildly friendly but not warm. Anyway, disappointing. I hope they can make some changes and get back to what it was.
Welp this use to be my go to spot for years but with the changes recently made I’ve had to find a new place.
The two biggest issues for me are:
1) The drinks are not as good anymore. Every time they are lukewarm or the taste is off. I got a handful of drinks with the new owner and wasn’t happy with any of them. I’m not paying $6+ for a bad drink.
2) The atmosphere is confusing. With the change of ownership came giant coolers with soda/drinks and knickknacks, it makes it feel like I’m in a corner market than a neighborhood coffee shop.
I miss my old coffee shop 💔
I’m giving the shop two stars because the staff is very nice and the service has never been an issue, but drink quality and atmosphere are a huge factor for me.
Great place in SE for a good espresso drink!!! I love their latte, beans used are perfectly roasted.
Consistently delicious and strong coffee.
My favorite coffee shop, ever!
We started getting their coffee at our grocery store some years ago. Found out they had more selections of their incredible coffee, and then found out it was up the street and around the corner!
The owners are kind, welcoming and informative! Almost always a full house when we come by, and it's the perfect place for morning dates.
Keep up the GREAT work!

Friendly, comfortable Sellwood neighborhood coffee place. Attentive staff and owners serve you. Only had a mocha there, but it was very nice. Saw a variety of drinks, from Cubanos to hot chocolate. Didn't sample the pastry, but they've got them. Too many coffee joints close up by 1 or 2, disrespecting those of us of a later afternoon persuasion. Not these guys! Open till 4pm, 7 days a week! Great place to nurse your drink or meet a friend.
Stopped in for drinks on a cold wet afternoon. Friendly staff, great selection of hot drinks and a reasonable selection of snacks,
Not many food options but if it is a coffee shop with a good atmosphere you are looking for, this place is the best in Sellwood.
Okay so I’ve been debating whether or not to write a review on the changes in this place for a bit. This was one of my favorite coffee shops in the Sellwood area, but it’s very obvious they had a change of ownership over the last year or so and things have gone downhill.
At first when the ownership changed the old staff was completely gone and then there were a whole bunch of new people. Drink orders were getting messed up left and right and it was chaotic. Then suddenly all of those new employees got fired and the owners were there almost every day working all the shifts. Listen I get it, the economy is awful and times are rough for small businesses, they’re hustling and probably doing their best but it’s not working. The vibe here also changed, like suddenly they put up all of these weird random objects for sale like sports team beanies… nobody is coming here to buy that junk, I’m sorry but it’s true.
Now a few months down the line there are maybe 2-3 other employees who are there occasionally. If you happen to catch a day when those people are working you can still get a fairly decent latte, but those days are infrequent because the owners are there almost all the time. The one lady owner cannot work the espresso machine or make a latte to save her life. The past three times I got something from her the coffee was burnt and way too hot. You can tell the owners are burnt out from being there all the time too and they aren’t having a good time, I’d be exhausted too.
My advice is to hire some more experienced baristas, spend less energy bringing random objects to sell in your coffee shop, and if the owners are going to be working so many shifts they need to take classes/workshops or something on how to be a barista and how to use the equipment you have in the shop.
Such a wonderful, friendly coffee shop! It’s a favorite part of my early morning to walk over there, grab a latte, say hi to the friendly, familiar folks working there, and enjoy whatever music is on. Their mexican hot chocolate is great too! 👍
