Hands down, my favorite donut shop. Don't waste your time at voodoo. This is where it's at. I love the old fashioned cake donuts the best!

My brother brags about the quality of the donut game in Portland so was happy to have the opportunity to try out Blue Star Donuts… and worth the trip! I asked the lovely donut server about her favorites and she recommended the lemon curd and the chocolate old fashioned. Both are fantastic and balance a delicious donut with a subtle flavor to distinguish them from the basic recipe. Well played Blue Star, well played ?

Eh, it's a donut. Got the OG, and wish there was a bit more cinnamon. Otherwise, it was practically just a sugar glaze. The brioche dough is pillowy and soft, but over hyped of course.

A nice snack (though with the amount of sugar they add, it's probably a meal). They've got some unique flavours. Perhaps worth trying with a group of friends if you're visiting. Definitely not worth eating often, it's a nice treat.

I had to grab a dozen donuts for work, and this place was closest. I just went in and asked without looking it up and yeah, definitely should have! $50+ for a dozen! Haha! All my fault, but they were really good donuts, fast service too. 5 stars, would visit again for a donut and drink with my wife. Not a dozen for my dirty coworkers tho

We came to this donut shop after seeing it on the show "Somebody Feed Phil". It is definitely a nice donut shop in Portland with very unique flavors. We tried the Passion Fruit Cocoa Nib flavor and it was a really interesting taste. You better check it out while you're in town. They also have a really cool sticker if you like to collect those.

super cute place and the girl at the counter was SO NICE!! they played good music and it had a good vibe. the only downside was that the cold brew was extremely bitter (I did have cream added, too) and I couldn't finish it. so maybe just don't get that, otherwise it was a really nice place :)

The lemon donut was quite tasty, but the others weren't that different from any other donut.

Donuts of Excellence! Coffee made to Perfection with a capital P. Friendly seating in a spacious front park-like giant sidewalk with friendly people & weirdos of all ages. I sat here and nibbled my donut on a sunny day watching the pedestrian show unfold. Must recommend this gem. 5+ Stars. Thank you for this Portland culinary and cultural encounter. Hope to return someday.

This was my first trip to Blue Star. I've heard the hype for years, but could never bring myself to spend $5 on a donut. When I saw that they participate with Too Good To Go (awesome app!), I figured I'd give them a shot. The flavors I got were peach bellini, orange olive oil, and cinnamon sugar. Hands down the orange olive oil was my fave! Really great flavor, not sickly sweet. The others were just okay - nothing to write home about, in my opinion.I found the staff to be friendly and engaging at this location, especially so close to closing (it would have been very easy for them to be impatient or rude, but they were great!).While I doubt I'll be back (I much prefer Coco Donuts, honestly), Blue Star isn't terrible. If you can snag a killer deal through Too Good To Go, all the better!
