Never heard of Detroit style pizza before and usually vegan pizza is rough. Who knew a Egan pizza joint could be a rockstar. Don’t take my word for it. This place is it! Just a heads up to get some heartburn medicine ahead of time even if you never have issues! This food is heavy but can’t wait to visit again!

We had high hopes for Boxcar Pizza but unfortunately we were not overly happy with the meal. In their defense, we did order pizzas and take them to the coast for sunset dinner so we didn’t eat them until about 1.5 hours later, but I’m not sure it would have made us enjoy the pizza too much more. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and bbq wings for an appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were Buddy’s which we have had before and had just eaten the night before from Black Water....

Been coming to this place since they first open. They make some of the best Detroit style pizza in pdx. The flavors are amazing! Got some cheese bread, buffalo wings (forgot to take a picture), and a jalapeño and pepperoni pizza. If you’ve never had Detroit pizza try this place out or if you’ve just like delicious pizza go check this place out!
